I’m not a fan of 4-5-1. I may have mentioned that in the past.
I don’t know why we changed the system, whether it was to match Oldham (which we shouldn’t be doing especially at home) or for another tactical reason beyond my non-football manager brain but I don’t like it and hope we don’t see it again.
It doesn’t suit Griffiths and his frustration was becoming obvious in dreadful first 40 minutes. We (again) looked better after the break but Oldham must be the worst team to come to Molineux so far.
All six (including Stearman) that played at the back were solid even if they weren’t put to a particularly stern test and Golbourne got forward better than previously helped out by the fact that Sako actually tracked back (how long have I wanted to type those words?).
Centre midfield still looked the problem with far too little creativity. Price was the pick of the three but if we are going to play this system regularly then midfield his going to have to do far more to support Griffiths.
Sako and Henry both did well.
Ikeme 7
Doherty 7
(Stearman) 7
Batth 7
Ricketts 7
Golbourne 7
Evans 6
Price 8
McDonald 6
Henry 8
Griffiths 7
Sako 8
Oldham on a minute, 4-5-1?!?!?!

Did you know that your debt is nearer $80trillion? Once Obamacare and all the other things not currently included in the official figures come into effect next year, the dollar will be pulled and you will have to learn Chinese and Russian.

This thread lost its way well before I turned up. Getting back on topic, did you know that the biggest cheeseburger ever made was consumed by a solitary American in one sitting?

Into West Indian curried goat / rice and peas at the moment - delivery service from down the road. Cheaper than Indian and no demonic spirits crawling down your throat because it has been offered up to Kali.
