I remember it well "Worst title defence since Blackburn" was quoted many times.

In case some people have been misinformed, United have replaced their manager and added a £27m midfielder to their ranks - The squad hasn't been wiped out by an outbreak of plague, they haven't been forced to sell any key player from the squad that won the title and they haven't been docked any points by the FA. Why shouldn't people have them down as title favourites.

Good point PPLF I forgot about that. Binky, don't know but you and Chelsea just didn't turn up last season and united just kept on winning, it was strange as we didn't play that great all season except in patches. But van persie added something and papered over some cracks as the problems were the midfield and an ageing back line. Moyes has inherited that problem and to be fair is slowly changing it but it wi take time, and Felliani was not the answer, in fact what was the question?? But the price tag means nowt when in truth a midfielder like modric was needed......but united weren't strong favourites because if the massive change.

looks like City are now only two dropped points away from not being able to win the title themselves according to your logic PPLF.

That 95 point record could have been broken by man utd last 2 seasons. This season is the first time realistic we won't have a chance going into last 6 games of the season.

It looks like my face will remain intact for another season.
