I'd choose to give Kagawa more chances after a good match in CL. And Rooney up front as RvP is in doubt.
I think the big question is whether to try to match the muscle & height presence of Stoke or to play our own game with the best people on the ball. Or maybe to mix it.
Biggest question is to have Fellaini or not imo, haven't really proven himself for us. Probably plays out of position, but Giggs played CL and should be rested and Cleverley is still out. If it wasn't for this I'd choose one of them, but frankly I think the match comes to early on them. To in some way match Stoke we could have gone with Jones on the RB, and Vidic in. Welbeck on one of the wing spots, and Valencia instead of Adnan.
It's a gamble really what to go for, I think the best way is to out play Stoke, and this team looks promising to me, with the only question mark on Fellaini.. Should we try Anderson instead?
Team for Stoke

I think Fellaini will slowly start to change peoples minds. He no world beater but he a lot better than he has shown so far. Just needs a bit more time to settle and get a good run of games.

I agree, but it still doesn't address the issue of the lack of pace in the centre of the pitch.

That's why I'd play kagawa in there too to add a bit of pace and a spark.
-------------------Carrick--------Fellaini
---------------------------Kagawa
-------Nani/Januzaj-------RVP-----------Rooney
Ideally we'd be able to play Rooney and RVP as out and out strikers but the rest of the team just isn't good enough for us to be able to play that way. Certainly not against the top teams anyway.

Yeah that could be worth a go. To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing Rooney as cf in some games with RVP on the bench and see how it works.

Don't think we've got enough quality players anymore to be leaving one of our remaing world class ones on the bench.
Sign a top drawer left back in January and then let Rooney play a free role drifting inside.

I know what you mean but if Kagawa behind Rooney actually works better for the team than Rooney behind RVP does the it shouldn't matter.

RVP won't be benched long term. Maybe why he is nursing his toe he might be.
People need to get serious. We're talking about one of the best number 9's in world football.
Wake up guys.

I didn't say bench him long term. I said in some games it should be tried.
