Replacing Rio ferdinand is going to be really difficult or so far has been, and he's 35 in couple days! But iv'e been really impressed with caulkers development so far and I can see hes going to be a top class defender. Hes a leader already very commanding and has got pace to keep up like our own ferdy back in the days.
As a club we have a very proud tradition and history for promoting english players and always contribute to the england team, anyone else think he can be a suitable replacement for rio ferdinand? I certainly can. Him and jones to lead our defence would be immense for years to come if it happened.
Swap him for smalling I say!
I would hate to see foreigners lead our defence..they just dont have the same commitment and passion. Most title winning squads have always had an english centre back providing that spine and desire.
