My least favourite memory of this fixture is the 1987 games in the playoff final. My dad took me down to the away leg which we obviously lost at selhurst park and then this was followed by the excitement of the 1-0 win at home.
I then travelled to the replay at Birmingham and could not believe that 90% of the crowd were Leeds fans, Charlton had only brought what appeared to be a few hundred fans. The fans deserved a win, I thought, which we very nearly did only to be beaten by two goals late on in extra time after the excitment of taking the lead as well.
And this only seems like yesterday, wow I must be getting old!!!

I was along the touch line about half way point and we hand more than 4/5ths of the ground. I had to drive back upto Widnes after the game which was very disappointing. Overall an exciting season though having got to the semis of the FA cup. Remember queuing half the night for a ticket for this game.

Another great memory was at Leeds when Lee Bowyer played for us, every time he touched the ball the Charlton fans sang "Charlton reject" and when he scored for us the Leeds fans sang it back at them.
We won that game 4 - 2 if memory serves

And don't forget they named their club after one of our greatest central defenders...!!!
