Arsenal fans are crying because RvP chose to celebrate his goal today. They point out that like Ronaldo, Arsenal stuck by him through 'thick and thin' (wedding vows?) therefore he should return the favour by not celebrating his goals against them. To my knowledge since his move to Old Trafford, RvP has not said one bad word about Arsenal. However, they choose to boo and hurl insults at him yet expect him to show some 'respect' towards them by not celebrating his goal. I would like to think that respect works both ways.

There's no disgrace in losing at the home of the champions, you should know that by now.

was there a sit in?

Arsenal fans saying they still sit comfortable at top, it's 5 points. That can be overturned in two games.
That's not comfortable.

Was going to write an article about this, but see there already is one.
Less than 2 minutes in, Arsenal fans started their rendition of 'Robin, you're a cant. Robin, Robin, you're a can't'.
And they expect him to show them respect by not celebrating?
Are they completely deluded?

OP,
Hard to disagree.
To be fair, I don't really have a major problem with RVP. We stuck by him for many years when he was playing 20 odd games a season and constantly injured, and he moved on after 1.5 good seasons which was fairly disappointing.
Yet most of us would do that in our own careers, so why not him?
I'll happily boo him, but I couldn't care less if he celebrates or not.

van Persie: "Arsenal are my past now. I shown them respect last year & they didn't repay the favour - so I thought I'd celebrate today."
