So we spent £100m..now what?

After spending £100m what else do you think we need to complete the Squad.

Sad to say it but we just need two more players in my opinion.

1. A left back that is quick and can cross.

Why?
Width is needed desperately on the left. Siggs and inverted wingers is all very well but without a left beck overlapping and causing problems for ultra defensive teams we are imbalanced

2. A battering ram of a forward.

Why?
For our system games we need a forward that actually disrupts CBs concentration through physicality creating fouls and free kicks. Capable of holding up play to attract two defenders. This should create more space for the No.10 and inverted wingers. Defoe and Soldado are too similar. We need options. Added Bonus is that a strong forward can also play with Defoe or Soldado in a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1.

I don`t agree often with Chicken, but I do on this occasion, Spurs have more than enough players to make a really good go of all competitions this season. They cannot just keep buying players every six months on a whim.

Frankly I would be very surprised if Spurs splashed the cash very much for the next 3 or 4 years. The players they have brought will have to work somehow. And as Chicken said Spurs have BAE and Ade out on a limb, when they should be firmly back in the first XI.

We have definitely bought to no to buy for the next 4 years. Sounds move by Levy..but we definitely need one more left back.

Regarding the striker. I wouldn't mind giving Kane more of ago. Proved his worth in the Cup plus has more presence than Defoe or Soldado.

In the words of Gary Barlow... "Have a little patience"

@ Brain, as much as we all would've loved Lukaku at Spurs, what world are you living in mate that makes you think either club would do business with eachother after the whole Modric debacle?! We don't deal with Cheatski and the don't deal with us
You watch Lukaku and Courtois be the future of Chelsea :'(

In relation to the actual question though, a LB and a striker is a must in January. Enquiries into and scouting for our next number 2 goalkeeper is crucial for the Summer too. Can't watch Brad these days, too limited in ability at his age, bless him!

Did you see the bit where I said "it would be unlikely"? That is the world I am living in. Both quality players though.

loavirgo,

=====================

What makes you claim Kane has more prescence than Defoe, seeing as in the EL (I agree it’s another cup), Defoe cannot stop scoring?

By 'presence' I actually mean involvement and ability to occupy defenders moreso than having a 'deadly shot' which is all I see Defoe as having.

loavirgo,

I’m sorry but Kane should be nowhere near the Spurs first XI. Okay, he scored a neat finish versus Hull in the League Cup but he is nowhere even close to Defoe’s league.

The Kane I see is slow, sluggish and apart from that shot that hit the bar versus Hull, his shots are like powder puffs.

If AVB played Kane whilst we had a fit Defoe, Soldado and Ade in the reserves, I would genuinely think Jeremy Beadle had just risen from his grave.

I quite like Harry Kane

I mean not as a starter, but I think he is a bit underated on here.

Defoe on the other hand = massively overated.

Chronic,

You just cannot be serious. Defoe overrated? Have you seen that boy's goals to games ratios since he has been playing top flight football?
