16 Games, 9 New Players, 1 Coach Later ....

and after the mess he inherited Kenny has us top of the league.

Only 2 of the starting 11 today, Ikeme and Sako and were regulars in the Championship team of just 6 months ago.

Thank you Kenny, a great achievement

I hope he goes for it as well person, and resists the temptation of settling for a point at home.

wolfgang,

good positive article and i agree that we are higher now than a lot of fans thought we would be and so far have found this league relatively easy. we're playing ok, good in patches, and have a points per game that would see us smash the 100 point mark if we can keep it up.

we'll have a bad spell at some point i am sure, but so will orient and p'boro and others around us. right now a top two finish and automatic promotion looks a solid bet and as i mentioned elsewhere, KJ has the luxury of making his mistakes in a more forgiving league than he should get us into next season.

i'd be very happy with a regular back four of doherty, batth, stears and ricketts next season, camped in front of ikeme. i do think we will lose sako and we need to find a replacement for doyle in the next year or two as he ages and won't be able to play one or two games every week. if he gets a regular spot in the ireland squad we still might see him make the move to semi-retirement that is celtic in the near future. for now we have nobody in the squad that can do what he does, but i have hopes that mcalinden will carry on developing at shrewsbury and form an exciting partnership with griffo next year.

He has exceded my wildest dreams for this stage, i argued that we just needed to reform and slowly clear out the trash, i never imagined he would ditch just about all of it so quickly.

A fantastic job so far and now promotion is a must from this position.

I have no idea why anyone would think Ricketts cannot cut it at the next level, he chose to drop down a league, he was not pushed, he will be a key player for us when that valuable experience is needed next season.
I would snap your hand off for that back four next season that is for sure GB.

Ricketts signed a two year contract and will likely be part of a squad next season to consolidate our status. After that who knows. But there are a few who are out of contract at the end of the season and it'll be interesting to see how many KJ will offer new ones to.

First and foremost we have to get Danny to sign. Love the way he got booked and will miss the cup game, but will be available for next Saturday. (I think)

Your wildest dreams consist of something less than wolves being top of league one, Cinci? You are a dreamer. No wonder Stale was a hero in your eyes.

My wildest dreams consist of watching wolves lift the premier league trophy from a bazaar at the top of the directors box, whilst a select mix of the Saturdays and Girls Aloud fan me and feed me grapes and Elton John plays Rocket Man on the piano.
