Before some smartárse says Edwards, he wasn't a regular last season.
A huge achievement I agree. It remains to be seen how many in the squad are regulars this time next year in the Championship.
Looking likely:
Ikeme, Doherty, Batth, Stearman, Ricketts, Henry, Sako (if here's still with us), Doyle, Griffiths
Let's see:
Golbourne, Davis, Foley, McDonald (what's happened after his great start), Evans, Price, Edwards, Siggy, Cassidy
Jackett has done an excellent job and its a job I think he will finish off with us winning this division.
From your list wulfrun I would mostly agree. I would put question marks against Stearman and Ricketts for next year. But I am confident that Jack Price will make the grade and probably Lee Evans also
Done well so far, but annoying "tinkering" and we are not playing that well.
Can't knock top of the league, though.
Absolutely awful performance, you can't knock top of the league though, I wish kj would find his best 11 and stick to it though. I thought james henry was motm the rest were lucky to get 4's but I ain't complaining were winning again after many seasons of loosing.
It was good to see that our best manager for 40 years was at the game, Mr J.Barnwell.
Its a bit of a concern that we aren't producing better performances and producing a style.
Next Saturday will be a real test I'd take a draw right now.
Never mind were top of the league and with what kenny has had to deal with.
Well done Mr Jackett.
We won't get promoted by settling for a point at home though person.
Brentford are scoring for fun though Larry, I can't wait it should ta cracker I hope Kenny goes for it.
Brentford have scored 4 less than us
I hope he goes for it as well person, and resists the temptation of settling for a point at home.
Wolves are scoring for funnier.
Have a look over the last 5 games dj and their points haul
Wolves 13 points
Orient 9 points
Posh 7 points
Brentford 15 points
Coventry 13 points
Last 5 games points haul.
so we have drawn one and won four and they have won five. and we're at home.
8-0 to wolves then
wolfgang,
good positive article and i agree that we are higher now than a lot of fans thought we would be and so far have found this league relatively easy. we're playing ok, good in patches, and have a points per game that would see us smash the 100 point mark if we can keep it up.
we'll have a bad spell at some point i am sure, but so will orient and p'boro and others around us. right now a top two finish and automatic promotion looks a solid bet and as i mentioned elsewhere, KJ has the luxury of making his mistakes in a more forgiving league than he should get us into next season.
i'd be very happy with a regular back four of doherty, batth, stears and ricketts next season, camped in front of ikeme. i do think we will lose sako and we need to find a replacement for doyle in the next year or two as he ages and won't be able to play one or two games every week. if he gets a regular spot in the ireland squad we still might see him make the move to semi-retirement that is celtic in the near future. for now we have nobody in the squad that can do what he does, but i have hopes that mcalinden will carry on developing at shrewsbury and form an exciting partnership with griffo next year.
He has exceded my wildest dreams for this stage, i argued that we just needed to reform and slowly clear out the trash, i never imagined he would ditch just about all of it so quickly.
A fantastic job so far and now promotion is a must from this position.
I have no idea why anyone would think Ricketts cannot cut it at the next level, he chose to drop down a league, he was not pushed, he will be a key player for us when that valuable experience is needed next season.
I would snap your hand off for that back four next season that is for sure GB.
Ricketts signed a two year contract and will likely be part of a squad next season to consolidate our status. After that who knows. But there are a few who are out of contract at the end of the season and it'll be interesting to see how many KJ will offer new ones to.
First and foremost we have to get Danny to sign. Love the way he got booked and will miss the cup game, but will be available for next Saturday. (I think)
Your wildest dreams consist of something less than wolves being top of league one, Cinci? You are a dreamer. No wonder Stale was a hero in your eyes.
My wildest dreams consist of watching wolves lift the premier league trophy from a bazaar at the top of the directors box, whilst a select mix of the Saturdays and Girls Aloud fan me and feed me grapes and Elton John plays Rocket Man on the piano.
