dalejohnsonESPN: I can confirm that Liverpool have offered £12m, plus David Ngog, for Bolton's Gary Cahill. Never interested in Dann. #lfc #bwfc. What do you think about this bid and would you accept it?

Think Aquilani wants out of England all together tbh! Saying that though, he has finally been given a squad number today so he ,ay well stay at LFC!

I don't rate N'gog, but Coyle does. Word is Coyle values N'gog at £3.5 million. So if the deal values Cahill at £15.5m plus a decent player on loan for the season, we would be CRAZY not to accept the offer with one year left on Cahill's contract. Insane. Anybody who says otherwise is nuts. We would have 2 whole weeks to sign another centre back.
I'd love the makeweight loan player to be Joe Cole, but can't see him accepting the move.

We have to accept this deal.. It will be the last decent offer we get.

Got to accept this offer.
12 million pounds is precious for us.

If this is true we should bite their hands off. As for a replacement, how about Nedem Onouha.
I see Benjani is available on a free as well. Dont think he would be a bad shout. Signed for City just before they got their millions, and signed by Big Sam only for him to get sacked a few months later.
Seemed to have a good record for Portsmouth

Jobly, agree abou Onouha but Benjani, 4-5 years younger, yes, now no. not what we need.

Take the money and run .... I might be alone in my opinion but I honestly believe that Cahill is not that good and nowhere near world class. A decent center half for us of course and I wouldn't mind him staying with an extention.
Overall though I'll take the money plus N'gog.

What you trying to do zkat put them off?
I think Cahill is the type of player that will shine with equal class players around him.
Don't forget Villas' 10% cut of the sell on if it goes ahead

if this deal is true id hope for Wilson on loan, he can play CB and LB as far as I know so we would end up with £10mil in the pot after villas cut and a bit towards wages another option up front and a bit more cover at the back.
Onouha as a replacement is a very good shout but not sure about Benjani but still think we could do with another Striker. Who that is however I do not know as Jerome seems to be just a rumour and any other player from the Prem who will actually add something to our squad will either be too much or not up for sale. Other than that its the championship or from abroad and thats a bit of a gamble.

Benjani gone back to Pompey anyway so all irrelevant
