Demolished by South Africa in the ODI series, India waits to salvage some respect in the 2-test series set to start Dec 18th.

Not looking forward to the rest of this, or the series in England.
Look dreadful. I cant see anything other than bad defeats in both.
Either India start to produce bouncy tracks..or, some players leave and play some County cricket.
The money in the IPL, is ruining this team. None play outside of India, and are used to these flat, dusty wickets, which assist spinners.

our first and for most priority should be to find a zaheer khan from somewhere. Maybe shami could establish himself.
But the likes of yadav, ishant sharma and etc are all useless. They dont bring any consistency with them. I really dont know why our bowlers are not able to execute plans. They have technology which should pretty much help them know what lines and lengths to bowl anywhere in the world.

with our batsman. Im not sure. I think kohli and pujara might succeed. But I hope not after the series is lost.
However it is very evident from the ashes and this tour, that if you play in low wickets, it becomes very hard to adjust come bouncy pitches.

Kohli, Pujara, and R Sharma appear to be technically sound. They may do well in the two test matches.
Ideally, tours should start with a couple of friendly practice games so they learn to adjust to the different pitches.
Bowling remains a problem for India when they play on non-turning wickets.

Quinny may be a star in the making. He seems to have taken a special liking for India.

Spinners are doing a good job of containing run flow, but where will India hide when the slow bowlers have exhausted their quota?

Robbie, until India learn to produce bouncy wickets, or players move away form the IPL and play some domestic cricket in other countries, I cant see anything changing soon.
With the money in the IPL, I cant see many wanting to go abroud.

My hunch is that India will perform better in the upcoming test matches. Bowling will be strengthened by Z Khan. Among test batsmen, I like the technique of Pujora. Kohli needs to prove himself abroad.

Z Khan has begun his tongue games!

I told you India will do better in test matches.
They would have been in even better situation without that foolish run out of Pujora.
