Steyn already saying the Indians are bricking it

Not suprised they lost the first match. Any team would have lost that. Johansburgh is SA's hunting ground. It suits their bowlers more than any others.

The batting did well to reach 200+. The average in that ground is 220 and it was never a 350+ pitch. Indian bowlers were thrash. I hope they learnt from their mistakes.

India Really need to produce some bouncy tracks, and get used to them.

this is as shhyte a bowling attack can get. Why are they taking so long to adapt? dont they use the technologies and see what areas SA'n bowlers bowl.

Indian bowlers are the worst when it comes to being creative and are so bad at executing their plans

Guessing what total?

I was about to do the double bet India and Arsenal before the first wicket fall. Still, the odds are not bad at 12/5 for India and 7/10 Arsenal.

I might be proved wrong though, but, this pitch looks a batting heaven to me.

When Saffers fail, it is always their batting. 300 would be impossible for India.

2 wickets.

The bowling is shocking. Even an insult to a pie Chucket

India has a few power hitters, but 280 is still a difficult chase against Steyn, Philander and Morkel.

That last over did some damage.

agree, 280 is a tough ask, andteh previous game did nothing to instill confidence.

The pitch doesent look too bad though

I wonder if Aswin should have bowled the last.

kohli fails again in this conditions. I feel kohli hasnt been able to do well against good bowling attacks in difficult pitches. he struggled against Aus in aus and isnt doing that well here.

BCCI seriously needs to start producing bouncy pitches. ow we will keep struggling in these conditions.

From these odi matches so far, im confident that we will struggle in the tests. Forget whether our bowling clicks or not, our batsmen will not be able to score against the likes of steyn, morkel and philander. they will be too hot to handle for players that have never played outside India.

Faack, done my money here as it seems..

This is not the kind of bowling Raina likes to face.

Can India get to three figure total?

News Flash:
BCCI threatens to call off the tour immediately unless Steyn, Philander, McLaren, Morkel, Ama, ABD and QdK are removed.

nah robbie. BCCI is planning for the future. Zimbabwe have received an email and they have been offered 4 tests to play against india in india.

And BCCI is planning to reduce the england series to 3 odis and 1 test.

On a serious note. if india keep on playing like this, Not sure if any indian fans will have any interest in this team for the next 1-2 years.
Fking 1billion people. Still we cant find bowlers that can bowl 140+ consistently.

I read a comment on twitter 'All foreign teams perform in India when it comes to Odis, but cant india perform when they go away'. This is very true. we have not won any odi series in the last 3 years outside our comfort zone. we lost in england, we lost that triseries in Australia and miserably failed against Australia and were only able to thrash SL in that series. Then when this opportunity came, we failed yet again.

Most teams I see, for example Pakistan-their strength is bowling, they always perform in whatever condition you give them. Its different story that their batsmen struggle at times

India's strength is batting, they have to perform all the time. Whether their bowling clicks or not. Rohit sharma played a pull shot that was not required. So did kohli and dhawan who played shots that would get them runs in Subcontinent. They have to dig it in and then go for their big shots.

I have recentky kohli just scoring quickly from the word go. that worked on those flat tracks, it wont work here. He has to play like before, dig it in, take some time to understand the pitch and then after scoring 50, go for the kill. he used do it so well, but the recent pitches where they played like stick cricket he has got the wrong habbit.

As a fan I appreciate India doing well at home and beating the like of WI at their own backyard. But until India win against SA, Eng and Aus in their own pitches, they dont deserve to be called a good team.

India horribly unprepared for this series, I mean no warm up game, and sa coming off a 3 match series at home, er duh! The bowling is something India needs to look at

posted on 8/12/13

The problem Indian batsmen have away from home. The ball seams. and when it does it quickly you are really tested with your technique. They are not used to playing the ball above their waste. Lets face it, they can get forward on slow wickets.. they cant get forward in SA they knick the ball to the slips.
England have been found out aswell in Australia. They played on slow wickets in the warm up games when it came to Brisbane they were shell shocked at the pace of the wicket.. India may have a better chance in England when they tour next summer if the wickets are flat. Because you don't get great pace in the tracks England.
