Something different!!

Not trying to take over here, just trying to keep the ball rolling, so to speak!

So, last nights Britains Got Talent................

....only joking!!

Seriously, know this will have been done before, but to make it slightly easier, there is a slight twist to this.
We all have our opinions as to the what the greatest United team would be if we were able to pick from the many greats that have graced our club and it can be very hard knowing who to leave out, so this time we will have a 'SQUAD' of 22 players, trying, where possible to keep it even, in otherwords, not 18 strikers and 4 midfielders, lol! If you want, you can give your reasons for selecting a player...up to you, but lets see what great names we come up with.
I am still working on my 22, so will give my squad later.

Let me get back to you on that one Fused.

OK Fused, here's mine. This is not all based on length of service, but individual performances and defining moments.

McAlpine GK, B Thompson GK & Szamotulski GK

Gough, Narey, Hegarty, Malpas, Petric & Webster

Bannon, Sturrock, Payne, McKinnon, McInally & Bowman

Gray, Gallacher, D Dodds, Milne, Dossing, Brewster & Goodwillie.

OK a few explanations. McAlpine is a legend and I grew up watching Thompson, he was part of a great era at the club. Szam is IMO the best reaction GK I have ever seen at Tannadice and the save against celtic in particular was world class. For me Narey, Heggy and Gough are certanties. Malpas for quality and length of service, including being the first captain to lift the Scottish cup. Petric may seem odd, however he was outstanding in that specific game and at the time looked like a world beater. He was a very classy player, although he never reached his true potential. Webster because he also lifted a trophy and he was sensational for us lat season. Bannon and Sturrock are obvious IMO. Payne for his outstanding technical ability. Mckinnon may surprise people, however I think he was the most naturally gifted player I have seen. I witnessed his hat-trick of free-kicks at Rugby park and he was hugely two-footed. Wasted it though. McInally and Bowman for being United legends and being part of the 94 squad. McInally also scored the winner in the semi and Bow was an outright psycho. Finally Milne for that goal and the same for Brewster. Gallacher, Gray, Dodds speak for themselves. Dossing for his tremendous goal record and Goodie as I think he's the best young prospect since drunken came through..

Once you have finished your list try to compile a list of the worst players, should only take a couple of minutes.
