Like I said Butey. It's all theory. We are more than capable of doing better without Doyle up front. Sounds to me as though he's not there anyway. If we got the ball out wide more often, then the crosses would come flying in and Doyle wouldn't need to wander about so much. If he's a designated striker, then get some goals. Simple really.

So is the problem Doyle or the wingers?

I guess we shall see, but reading between the lines of various press comments it seems the concern is lack of goal threat, removing griffo does not address that.

I've always thought that Jackett said if we take Griffiths out the team, he's worried about the goal threat. To me that means he thinks there is a lack of players who can play the number 9 role and provide competition for Griffiths, not that he wants to drop Doyle so two people can do it. It would be madness to drop your most creative player from his best position.

From the games I've watched this season the problem is creativity. We are rarely creating clear cut opportunities which i we are not scoring shed loads. I'm not sure ifa KJ side would be free scoring as he tends to keep it fairly tight but apart from Henry and Sako (occasionally) I don't see the midfield trying to create opening. Doyle and Griff are sometimes wasted as their game intelligence is higher than our midfield

You are right punjabi, and all this talk about our goal threat should end with your assessment.

Think back to the best football seen at the wolves in the last 10 years and my highlight would be in our Championship winning campaign when we were4 nil up at half time against forest. We had SEB and Iwelumo up front and the supply channels of Kightly and Jarvis, without the supplyi don't care how good you are back to goal you will not score as many
