I can understand Hull City fans getting upset at their Chairman's insistence on removing the 'City' for 'Tigers'.
But are they getting upset with any justification ?
The argument is it will improve the world wide brand, increase revenues and set the club on a better financial footing...well something like that...
Would Town fans accept Huddersfield Terriers ?...probably not ...but if, say, it brought in £5m year extra, to buy players and maybe get us to the Premier League...?
What is the difference between this proposal, and say -
Castleford Tigers..
Huddersfield Giants
Wigan Warriers
Warrington Wolves
Bradford Bulls
Leeds Rhinos
etc
I know 'Fartown' fans still chant Fartown, but many refer to the club as the Giants...
Are Hull fans just hanging on to tradition ...failing to move with the times...or do you agree with them ?
Hull Tigers ?

True Jacko, some are happy with mid table mediocrity and a terrier dog that looks like a fox!

After the clip on Youtube of them doing the 'mauled by the tigers' chant, i would say it's fully justified, but if the owner pulls it off, it will actually be significant change not just for Hull, but other teams all over, as others will follow suit.
Mauled by the Tigers.

Animal names are associated with other sports other than football. These new owners coming into the Country need to understand tradition and in this particular case they are wrong. In Hulls case, I just wonder what the FA think about being threatened by Hulls owner. It just shows how out of touch these people are, including the bloke at Cardiff.
