with the belgian grand prix fast arriving,i thought i would plug the country abit
spa, being the best circuit currently being used, possibly the greatest grand prix of all time?
jacky ickx, argubly one of the greatest drivers not to win a world drivers championship, multiple grand prix winner and of course 6 times le mans winner
then we have thierry boutsen, started at spa in1983 and finished at spa in1993,very apt
survived a massive crash at le mans, won at daytona and the spa 1000kms
then,3 glorious wins for williams, somewhat abit lucky in montreal after senna's retirement 3 laps from home, first you have to finish and all that
surely his greatest race was in budapest in 1990,getting pole and beating the likes of senna and piquet into the bargain
belgium, wheather it be stella or chocolate,or walloon or french,a brilliant grand prix circuit in the ardennes forest, ypres and mons stepped in history for such a small geographical country
let's not forget zolder, that sadly took the life of gilles villeneuve, the greatest of them all
raise a glass of stella,to belguim's best
Best Of Belguim

absolutly agree, bellof was a huge talent
as you know,he tangled with ickx at eau rouge, which cost him his life
ironically, ickx waved the red flag at monte carlo in 1984,with senna catching prost and bellof catching both

One to watch next weekend: Jerome D'Ambrosio.
For the first time in years, the crowd have a local lad to cheer. I hope he does well.

Going this year - looking forward to seeing Eau Rouge for real.
Don't overlook Eric van de Poele - unlucky in F1 having to try and qualify the Brabham like Damon did, but a bit of a Spa & sports car hero with four Spa 24h wins, two Sebring 12h wins, and a podium at Le Mans.
Btw, you can easily edit your article to make the corrections, 128 divided by 3.
Oh, and 64 and 64 make 128 - that's OAP land!
Classic track.

Oliver Gendebien.
GP driver in the late 1950s and early 60s, with a distinctive yellow Ferrari, his best results, 2nd and 3rd were for the Yeoman Credit team driving a Cooper.
One of the greatest Sports car drivers ever. 4 Le Mans wins in 5 years (58 -62), Targa Florio 3 times, Sebring 12 hrs 3 times and Nurbergring 1000km once.
He also won the Tulip and Liege-Rome-Liege rallies.
