Naturally Giroud will be the scapegoat for not being clinical but I personally think Wenger who had 2 months to bring in a striker in the summer is at fault here for our striker problem.
The Ozil honeymoon period papered over this and now that it's wearing off we are looking for a player to blame, Giroud, who although has improved did have a similar 1st season when it came to missing goal chances. Wenger knew this but decided not to address this in the summer when it was clear he needed to.
Giroud frustrates me but he is just as good as he is and Wenger chose to gamble on him to lead us through this season which is now backfiring.
His lack of pace and dribbling skills is why he struggles at Arsenal because we play with the ball on the ground, it's not because he is a poor striker, we are just used to having strikers from the past that were pacey and knew how to finish when given the chance. I bet Giroud would do well at West Ham who would play to his strengths or even Man u who know how to cross.
I just hope Wenger brings in a pacey, clinical striker in January like Luis Muriel if Costa Diego falls through and doesn't use the 'No quality strikers were available' excuse. Giroud needs help up top badly and needs a striker that will make him fight for his 1st team place. We have Podolski but Wenger will not play him up top for some reason.

I agree 100%, it's not entirely Giroud's fault. No matter how hard he tries, and to be fair he tries so hard, he's not going to turn into that pacy dribbler we all want.
He is what he is, a good striker with a lot of talent but not ideal for our style of play. He does make silly errors, but he also does other things well which many strikers can't do. It's a mixed bag.
We should support him all the way, and moaning about a lack of WC strikers doesn't help.

Bottom line is, 2 chances were created for Giroud our striker & he failed to score again

Let's face it . It was a poor game played in appalling weather by two teams, whose strikers are badly out of form,desperate not to lose.
I like Giroud and Ozil but I feel that both slow our game down quite a bit. Ozil has bags of talent but needs to adjust to the prem in terms of pace and strength. Giroud needs to practise his finishing on the training ground so that he does not slice every shot.
