Wenger And Giroud Say No Striker Is Needed!

After all of this talk about us buying or loaning strikers in January, I think realistically we won't do either of them. I was so happy when all this talk about signing strikers in January so it could help us push on for the title.

Here are some quotes from Giroud implying that we won't get a striker in January.

Giroud: "I wouldn't like a new striker to come in. If the coach wants me to rest, he can do it without buying a new striker."

Giroud: "Lukas Podolski is having a good come-back. Theo Walcott can play as a striker. We have the quality and the quantity."

Giroud: ‘I would rather not see a new striker come in.’

Here are some quotes from Wenger also implying that we won't get a striker in January.

Wenger: "I think we can win the title without signing a striker,"

"[Lukas] Podolski is not back but he shouldn't be too far now. They make it less critical to sign a striker. Also, Theo [Walcott] gives us qualities that other players haven't got. It's a different option. Theo also gives us an opportunity to be a mobile striker. If we lose Giroud today we have nobody with body weight up front.

"Look, I am not against it [a January signing]. I don't say I never make a mistake. I certainly made some. Sometimes it is because we didn't sign the right player.
