I left the iPro yesterday feeling very frustrated and angry.
Derby's excellent form since McLaren arrived was poisoned by an inept opposition and inept officials. We faced a Wigan Athletic team that in my opinion are a disgrace to the game.
I have never seen timewasting on such an epic scale and the referee seemed to love it. Yet again, the person in black was weak and has no background at all in football.
This was not footballing tactics from Rossler, it was cheating and non sportsman like. Wigan had no intention at all of coming to Derby and playing football and if that is what their supporters have to watch on a regular basis, no wonder the town prefers to go and watch rugby.
Where has the atmosphere gone at Pride Park.? It's no good making loads of noise away and then being able to hear a pin drop at home. The atmosphere yesterday was like the Reading game in September - horrible.
I saw a clip on You Tube earlier of Chris Martin standing up. Has any other Derby fan witnessed such a miracle??. Referees and opposition are wising up to his constant attempts to win free kicks by falling on his backside. Although in fairness he was man marked all afternoon by two players.
I'm tired of Jamie Ward's fairly average ability and even more average contributions in home games.
Don't rate Russell - not good enough. Woeful control in crucial situations. Listening to the radio on my way home, I nearly choked when some fans actually thought he was Derby's man of the match. A joke - surely
If we sold / loaned out Ward, Sammon, Russell & Hendrick in the transfer window, I would no be in the least bit bothered.
Am I alone in these thoughts.?
Cheats and appalling sportsmen

I didn't say he should go, but I did say I wouldn't be that bothered if he did.
Bamford signed till the end of this season.
Clough interested in Ben Davies and Connor Sammon.

Clough interested in Connor Sammon.
Interested is good enough, Tell Connor I'll pick him up in 10 minutes, I can have him in Shellfield in no time at all.
Thank you and good bye

yep I must admit I give Connor Sammon the benefit of the doubt. He's not good enough

Ajisa...You must be out of your brilliant mind..?did you not go to Barnsley..Russel was outstanding, some of the crosses he put in were top draw, particularly the one at the end which Bryse should have nailed..agree about Sammon though couldn't hit a cows ass with a banjo that one, and Ward is to light weight and can't beat a man..the jury's out though.

AJ, Derby deserved nothing from the game yesterday. Yes Wigan were physical and at times dirty and perhaps lucky to have 11 players on the pitch. However, they bossed the game and purely on clear openings should have been out of site.
They came with a game plan and it worked, they pressed us and closed us down quickly.
It's now up to SM to pick the players up and start again. The run was always going to end but don't try to kid yourself that we were cheated because we were made to look poor by Wigan.

I was not at Barnsley Ricky, but I do accept Russell put some good balls in - albeit, as Wassa says, to no effect.
Commenting on the Wigan game and Derby's forward line inability to control the ball if an opposition defender is within 5 yards of them. That isn't good enough and is a basic skill.
I don't think Russell is a bad player, but is he good enough for Derby.?? Good enough for the Prem ? I'd say definately not.
JCB has obviously been bought in to replace / put pressure on someone. All fingers would probably point to Sammon, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or two others are starting to sweat a bit.

C stander,
Have to disagree. I don't think we were made to look poor by Wigan. They were poor and because were a footballing side and they aren't, a different game altogether was on show.
If good effective tactics are to foul the opposition constantly and waste time at every single opportunity, then the FIFA coaching manuals need re-writing.
29 fouls in the game 19 of them against Wigan. I'd like to know how long the ball was in play. Be surprised if it was more than 35 mins in total.
