Surely nobody thinks SC have the future of DRFC on their list of priorities - The guy fronting this has been decked bankrupt in Northern Ireland - he recently stitched up a dishonest ex-minister who was working for Phelan's boss (Dennis O'Brien) in the past - The ex-minister was charged with tax evasion this week

The money saved on Harpers wages will have contributed to the extra money for Richie so in reality as it stands the wages bill probably wont be much different to what it was last week.
I am sorry derubish but i cant see JR as a horrible man.
Maybe your opinion is clouded by your recent brush with him.
Without his input we would not be watching our Rovers at all but i fear that without further investment in the team we will be heading back to league one and probably two before long.
Those among us who are awake can see this.

NY. So be it the manipulator becomes the manipulated. Sweet Justice. What goes round comes round etc.
I don't really wish to contemplate what is going on behind the scenes. So long as he's not there that is. What I want is good honest performances from un injured players who are playing for the shirt and a move out of the bottom 3.
Oh plus a job. plus a house move (that's dragged on for 4 months) plus that horrible American weather to stay over there.

Donaldo, I would liken TB's involvement with DRFC as similar in many ways to that of Alan Sugar at Spurs.
He was regularly accused of being more interested in the business of Spurs rather than in the football side of things.
The Spurs fans grew to dislike him intensely as the years went by and Spurs struggled to make any impact in the PL.
Much the same as TB, SUgar was very successful in his business ventures but knew very little about football.
After a few acrimonious years he sold his stake in Spurs and described his time there as being a waste of part of his life.
It is interesting that Sugar fell out with Teddy Sherringham after Teddy wanted a five year deal to stay with Spurs.
Sugar said that Sherringham wouldn't get into the Spurs team at age 36 (the fifth year of the proposed contract) so Sherringham left.
Interestingly, Sherringham was still in the Man Utd team at age 37.
For Sugar and Sherringham - read Brammall and Wellens.

bally, mate, old pal, I agree with everything you have said there - except for one thing.
I cant say that I see no wrong with JR.
He is a fan of his own publicity, has a very big ego and I used to get fed up of him saying things like "we want to be in the PL" and other such outrageous things.
However, he does love the Rovers and still has the best interests of the club at heart.
