What really grinds my gears

1) whenever I see Moyes's record away against the 'big clubs' quoted. None of the media seem to include his record at City, probably one of the toughest grounds to go to in the last five years.

2) some of the absolute howlers that have gone in favour of the big teams this season. Newcastles & Sunderlands disallowed goals vs city & arsenal respectively & the Chelsea pen vs WBA. These were among the worst decisions I have ever seen but will be forgotten at the end of the season (if not already). can't think of much that has gone our way this season (Rooney not getting sent off vs Cardiff maybe).

3) two soft penalties for Liverpool in two games. Saw some stat on BBC that suerez has 'won' four more penalties in the last year than any other player. Even more frustrating when Young, who I can only remember winning 3 pens in his time at Utd, gets taken out by lloris but gets nothing probably because of his reputation. Either way Defenders/keepers/refs have got to wise up.

4) The criticism for spending an extra 4mm of Fellini. Pretty insignificant amount for a club like utd. Didn't Chelsea just spend 20mm on someone they effectively sold for <1mm?

5) pundits like le tiss & Phil Thompson (who I normally rate as one of the better pundits) saying Moyes shouldn't moan about referring decisions because UTD have had more than there fair share go there way in recent times... I think this is the view of a lot of people - doesn't matter how bad the decision against us is, UTD still have this reputation that all the big decision goes our way.

6) There are five clubs in the PL who have a higher transfer record than us!

7) every time the media mentions JM home record at Chelsea...both the manger & Chelsea have lost a ton of home games in the intervening period, so I don't see how that record is relevant. Even in his first stint they lost several cup games with him in charge. What difference is it what competition it is in? A loss is a loss.

Rant over, feel much better now!

Of course Melton wants us to win

We're in the rare situation where a lot of non United or Chelsea fans would like us to win today. That's a situation I am not altogether familiar or comfortable with as it shows we aren't feared or seen as the very top team we once were. I would far rather everybody wanted us to lose.

well it wasnt a rare situation under the first four seasons of Fergie when we were totally terd

We were also pretty rubbish befire Fergie took over to be fair. We hadn't won the league in 19 years.

yeah but it got worse under him, a lot worse. I would love to have seen what internet forums would say about him if they existed at the time, the fanzines were merciless, i still have them.

Ta ra Fergie, no more excuses

You weren't totally terd Siempre. There were bad moments in there, but the signs were there too.

I agree though, a lot of United fans were quite vitriolic against him at the time.

Robb,

I don't want you to win to stop Chelsea or anything, I just think the run in will be better if you do for the league as a whole. This board won't have thirty articles all about the same thing for the next couple of days as well!

I want a draw with lots and lots of cards diving fights.

Your usual Chelsea united game you might say.

I kind of like being the underdogs for a change. Might allow the players a bit of freedom. Should never expect a win against any other top half side regardless of form.

Btw, M is roman for one thousand, so MM is a thousand thousand, or a million. Commonly used in finance. Clearly I was not referring to millimetres

i am pretty sure MM is two thousand
