Next home game Man City

and Spurs have an excellent record against them

Last 39 games played home and away

Spurs 24 wins
Draws 6
City 9 wins

City with only one win in the prem era at WHL, and that came a couple of seasons ago at WHL.

Should not Spurs be reasonably confident of at least avoiding defeat, and even beat them again, following on from last years 3-1 victory over them at WHL.

Much like 2011-12.
We shall soon see if they get a similar scare in the return game.

I would be looking at recent history if I were you. Spurs will be dead and buried by half-time, you know the story.

Indeed we do. 2-0 to 2-3.

Tough one to call and its right the last 39 games have no relevance whatsoever.

If we get the likes of Sandro back and dont sit back and watch them play I would hope for at least a point.

If we start in the lazy way we did on Sunday then I will close my eyes instead of watching us get slaughtered

No sure why but I'm Confident of a result

Need to play a defensive came the hit them on the counter using our wingers ( hopefully Townsend can play )

Sheriff John Brown - bring back David Dein

I never said they were unstoppable or that you can't beat them. Merely pointing out your last 39 matches against them which he's quoting has no bearing on this one.

But the 6-0 does according to you, make your mind up old boy, it`s one or the other, either previous results count, or they do not. FFS Sheriff you really are one thick plank.

I reckon we may get a point from this game but if we start like we did against Palace and Swansea we will get battered. The first half against Palace was terrible but going in 0-0 we were very fortunate, no complaints second half. If we can get something then great especially as Everloan & Liverpool are playing each other

Only Liverpool have let in more goals away from home than Man City in the Top 10. Even Spurs who got thumped 6-0 away at City have a far superior away defensive record.

City have let in more away from home than Cardiff and WBA and the same as Palace....they are far from impenetrable on the road.

That is not to say we will turn them over, our home record is pretty poor but one can expect City to be more open than the average opposition at WHL who tend to park the bus.

i agree that we cannot go 442. I think the formation we had at Swansea is far more appropriate.

I would like to see the CM as Sandro Dembele and Bentaleb, with Eriksen coming from wide left. Lennon right.

Their big threat also comes from the FBs who are often well forward, while they need tracking we also need to force them back, Zabaletta in particular.

We could well be on the end of another thumping BUT we have shown recently that we are now, once again, a very effective counter attacking team and City will be wary of that and the pace we possess on the break
