Anelka vs Gascoigne

Who's goal celebration was worse, Anelka's or Gascoigne's?

Personally i'd say Gascoigne's was far, far worse but he got away with a £20 grand fine.

Anelka is looking at a minimum of a 5 game ban.

I suppose you think that the Jews threw themselves in the showers at Auschwitz, thinking they were about to get a free spray-tan also, don't you?

Do you understand the difference between anti zionismand anti semitism?

I'll educate you. One is opposing a political concept and the other is opposing a race of people. One is against racism whilst the other is flat out racism.

You from the Gambia, Mandingo ?

Wasn't there 'Mandingo' warriors in West Africa? Seem to have a recollection of the tribal name in the series Roots.

Or was that Mandinka Warriors.....

If anyone is pro-zionism and/or pro-Israel and they take offence to a hand gesture that Anelka made and start calling him racist, should really take a hard long look in the mirror.

Let me educate you...the gesture that Anelka made was supposedly "anti-establishment",from his friend,a comedian. His whole act is based around the fact that Jews ARE the establishment and has now been banned by the French Government as anti Semitic.
Do you get it now?

Interesting viewpoint from a prominent French Jew:

Blue, so you agree that the gesture is therefore anti establishment. Good thing Anelka did it at West Ham and not M'bala.

I suggest you read the excellent link cox posted. But hey, some people are professional victims.

Surely only Anelka knows exactly what he meant by the gesture.

What concerns me is that the majority of the ill feeling towards this gesture came from France.

This is the same country who feel it is wrong for a journalist to print a story about the President allegedly having an affair.

If that had happened in the UK there would be a full enquiry because the PM shouldn't even b associated with this and as a nation we feel an affair is wrong. In France it doesn't appear to have the same relevance.

I feel this is the whole point of the anelka episode, some will b offended, others don't give a damn.

Should Anelka really b banned for a gesture that the majority know nothing about?

It really depends on what Anelka meant by the gesture and only he knows.
