Mata has barely played at all. Think he has completed 3 full 90 minutes this season out of how many games, 35+?

Why do people keep putting his acquisition down as 40m and not 37? Maybe the 3m difference is a pittance to the myriad squillionaires here but it is still significant.

Kneerash, Wenger is prone to a whinge and bitterness, but did you see the press conference when Wenger spoke about the Mata transfer. I cannot see how it was anything like that even with red tinted specs on.

i dont know i just found it odd the way he spoke about the mata deal after he sold rvp to united, even if he didnt want to he still sold him to them.

He has often moaned about the January transfer window( RVP went in the summer) Of course he has bought players in Jan. It would be cutting off his nose to spite his face if other clubs used that window and he did not. He was not having a go at any club and specifically said Chelsea had done nothing wrong.

Surely it's pretty much for the same reason that we don't allow players to move in January and then play for their new club in Europe that season if they have already played for their previous club in the competition that year?

Don't see what the fuss is about to be honest, they were both asked questions and responded with opinions.
