Goldsands Stadium , Dean Court.. BH7 7AF. Tues 7:45pm
With only one defeat in their last 6 league games, B'mouth are looking to draw level on points with Town, albeit with an inferior goal difference...only a win by 9 goals would let them overtake us..
History is not in their favour though, their double over us in 2011/12 included a rare home success, their first home win against us 12 previous attempts
Eddie Howe has done well, after his nightmare at Burnley..and only the bizarre carry-ons at Griffin Park stopped B'mouth winning the title last season..albeit with a miserly 83 points..The lowest since 2006.. When Town were striving for promotion the title winners gained 101 pts, 95, 95, 96, 92, and 91 over a 6 year period... just our luck eh ?
This will be our 22nd visit to B'mouth, and it's a happy hunting ground generally with 8 wins, 6 draws and 7defeats.
However our away record ain't very good, with 3 wins in 13 away games, matching that of 23rd place Yeovil
What I saw when they played Liverpool in the cup didn't particularly frighten me though, well organised, pass it around aimlessly a lot..Howe and Robins obviously went to the same coaching course.....
As a result I don't expect much action until the 85th minute or so, when everything coaching wise gets thrown out of the window and it's 'up and at them' stuff..
Pity it's a Tuesday night in January and not a Saturday in late April though, I rather like Dorset and camping on the coast at Eype. ..
Robins will be looking for 3 points, and Wells will be back up front I expect..not sure if Hammill will make it, or Hogg...maybe Sinnott will come on for 10 minutes ?
Over to you...

Just watched the goals from that link. 👍
Was it really a penalty? I didn't see any contact and the Bournemouth player went down very late. Smith's reaction said it all, he couldn't believe the ref's decision.
Woods' goal, that was class! The winner for Bournemouth, my god lads, that was woeful defending!

Aye up LV, as I said from the other end of the pitch where we were you couldn't tell, my first thought was that his own man had somehow caught him.
As for our goal, top class effort from build up to finishing.
Unfortunately Southern lost his man in the build up to the winner which allowed the lad all the time in the world to pick out a pass to the striker.
If any of you have a TownPlayer account on here then log onto the Bournemouth site where i am told you will find the entire match to watch

watching the video..it looked like Smith had a little kick out at their player...so pen looks right..
As for the 2nd goal, why was Wallace 5 yards behind the rest of the defence..he played 3 of their players on while the rest of the Town defence were holding the edge of the box....If I didn't know any better, I'd say he'd had a few words of 'advice' from PC....
Smithies seemed a bit slow coming out considering the guy scored from our 6 hard box...surely he has to win everything in that area ?
bit slack that, and wouldn't be surprised to see PC replace Wallace at Leeds...

Can't knock Smithies, he was superb in the 1st half with 4 brilliant saves
