De Gea will come good...

Having read the numerous comments and articles on this board regarding De Gea and the 'not so great' start to his United career, it seems that most United fans are in agreement that he will 'come good' and become a very good player.

With this in mind, are United fans willing to accept that players at new clubs should not be written off as a waste of money, flop, etc etc after such a short time at their new club, and indeed should be given time to prove their worth?

If so, does this same 'acceptance' include Jordan Henderson? I have seen many United fans already stating that Henderson is a waste and has flopped, should he not be given time too?

Ok. Yeah I would agree he's more suited to play in the middle

I don't like cricket.... I love it.

Seriously, it's a great game.

He never asked for it but he also doesn't have the ability to live up to it. Shame really.

That's a bit of an assumption. The lads not been playing that long. Remember Lampard and Gerrard when they first started out? Gerrard was one of the most raw midfielders we've ever had and he turned into a great Liverpool captain.

Unfortunately Utd fans aren't good at backing expensive players. They expect them to be amazing from day one because of the money spent. I have no concerns (yet) about De Gea. Schmeichel wasn't much different when he first joined.

Exactly redmisty! Schmeichel had a torrid time to begin with
