This guy is not good enough to occupy a place in the XI anymore and anyone who watches Arsenal over 90 mins throughout this season should agree. He hasn't looked good since his first season and that's when we played a flat 3 in midfield and he was crucial that season but don't forget Ramsey was pretty poor then and Song was more physical so Arteta became our biggest source for creativity and eventually even Song took that mantle as the season progressed.
For me he was only a stop-gap for losing Cesc and now that creativity has been well replaced I don't see how Arteta should be holding a regular spot anymore. Possibly the next 3 games but as soon as Flamini is back I expect him to take a role on the bench from then on for someone that's supposed to bring us experience he makes some pretty stupid decisions that really frustrate me.
It's similar to how Chelsea fans complain about Lampard not fitting into the 4-2-3-1 it's similar with Arteta you need 2 mobile players with drive to conquer this formation. Arteta can only work in a flat 3 and it's shown in the past couple of years. If TV leaves or is stripped off the captaincy in the summer I will be gutted to see Arteta take it as he shouldn't be in our regular plans next season.

Don't forget, he's awful in most CL games too. Not good enough, squad player at best and the sooner Wenger sees it the better for our progression.

What's annoying me the most is all this 'one bad game' being quoted he's certainly averaged a below than 7/10 performance this season.
Again if you watch us over 90 mins you'll notice how worrying it is when he receives the ball and he's supposed to be one of our more technically capable players. Flamini had a worser game yet one can still appreciate his contribution so your assumption is incorrect Azania

Arteta is a metronome. His pass accuracy is ridiculous. Give him the ball anywhere and he will always find a team mate.

He keeps it simple. You guys want a flashy player, a hard tackler or someone who rolls their sleeve up and 'battles'. He does the simple things and does it well. Even if he passes it sideways, it means we retain possession. If you want holywood passes, look to Gerrard where one in 10 comes off and he gets applauded for it.
