Arteta Can't Play New System

Arteta hasn't done that bad playing with Ramsey. It's when he is in partnership with flamini that his flaws show up

Arteta is 3rd choice. He is fine as a 3rd choice.

Stop complaining. It's not Wenger's fault that jack, aaron and abou are all injured right now with mathieu suspended.

Saying that I can see one of the two leaving on the summer

Wenger should do the right thing and get fernando to replace him

Arteta has been ok this season and has played well in a lot of games in the league

However, he is not CL standard and it's going to be tough watching him against Bayern

I take it the OP is some kid with a few years at most watching football. As others have said its about the partnerships and teamwork. Arteta works best with Ramsey imo and Wilshere and Flamini are a good partnership as well

As long as we play one of Arteta/Flamini with one of Wilshere/Ramsey then there's normally no great issue.
However either of the other two combinations don't work well.

He just has not got the bottle when it comes to the big games anymore.

Like in Wednesdays game for example, he had the ball in our box and played it 3 yards to his left to Monreal. Monreal is a left back and Arteta is our central midfielder. Ultimately Monreal lost the ball and we nearly conceded a silly goal.

I would still not play him even with Flamini out.

Rosicky and Jack in the double pivot (if fit)

Aha....

Arteta who just come back from injury and had an awful game against Soton now isnt good enough to play in our system.

Gt it's no use mate, these guys have no clue!

He's had several awful games quite frankly GT

Don't forget, he's awful in most CL games too. Not good enough, squad player at best and the sooner Wenger sees it the better for our progression.

It seems the most fickle fans in football support Arsenal. One bad game spells the end for a player.

What's annoying me the most is all this 'one bad game' being quoted he's certainly averaged a below than 7/10 performance this season.

Again if you watch us over 90 mins you'll notice how worrying it is when he receives the ball and he's supposed to be one of our more technically capable players. Flamini had a worser game yet one can still appreciate his contribution so your assumption is incorrect Azania

Arteta is a metronome. His pass accuracy is ridiculous. Give him the ball anywhere and he will always find a team mate.

No such word as "worser" mate.

Doesn't help our team when we don't have the ball though does it.

He offers almost nothing defensively. In fact, he is regularly given the run around by the opposition.

He is indeed Ollie and his passing is only accurate because he goes sideways, Arteta aka Mr. Crab!

Sorry about that spelling too Azania, the r is close to the e and was accidentally pushed, forgiveR me

He keeps it simple. You guys want a flashy player, a hard tackler or someone who rolls their sleeve up and 'battles'. He does the simple things and does it well. Even if he passes it sideways, it means we retain possession. If you want holywood passes, look to Gerrard where one in 10 comes off and he gets applauded for it.
