Genuine question, by not signing WC CF like Higuain what was he smoking? When everyone knows we need a keeper, he dithers and sticks with Al facking Munia, when we needed badly a CB, he persist with Senderoos and Djourou, when we get RVP banging goals, he sells him to a rival, when we need a DM, he goes and buy Arteta.
I will like to congratulate our players for a great effort so far especially when the manager is burdening them with task beyond their capability, well done.
Coming to my point, by not strengthening in the summer, only one player bought, a panic buy in Özil, and by refusing to buy all those years and even this January despite losing our only genuine goal threat in Walcott, is it fair to say Wenger is scared to win a trophy because maybe he has forgotten it completely, or he gets a kick out of annoying pundits and fans alike by refusing to buckle under pressure or perhaps he hasn't got a clue whatsoever.
We now move on to our cup games and I believe we are kidding ourselves to believe Wenger has appetite for trophies, it's better we just accept another average season and if we can't beat big teams then who's fault is it, definitely not the players.
Is Wenger scared to win?

Our business in the transfer windows borders on the ludicrous.

He can only be judged at the end of the season now.

For about 7 years it's been "judge me in May" no one ever does, when were yet again trophy less and scraping 4th

This May someone at the club should be judging him

I said last season he should be given one more season.

The man has lost that killer instinct it is reflected on his players, they look lost already and on the other hand, Jose is ruthless manager and who is going to bet against him lifting that PL trophy after one season back, shame on us for letting season after season pass us like we are only trying to finish ahead of Spurs.

Someone should; no one will. Rinse and repeat.

I think Wenger is only interested to finish ahead of mighty Spurs and he knows some of our fans will forgive him for that and getting his seasonal trophy aka top four.

Higuain cost £35m. I'm very critical of Wenger atm, but I really don't believe he can just go out and make these near record-breaking transfers as liberally as people make out.

Why? what sort of Manager worries about money, if Kronke wants mediocrity he should let Usmanov take over, I hate our clueless board and many fans will agree we need to be vocal or nothing will ever change.

Yes, but you talk as if he chooses the budget/has unlimited money. I really don't believe it's simply a question of choosing to strengthen or not. Wenger himself has said the notion that he chooses not to spend is stupid.
I personally agree with you that the board - and the limbo regarding the ownership of the club - have stifled our spending as of late.
Wenger has many flaws, and I have been very critical of him as of late, but I personally don't think it's fair to harangue him for not spending exorbitant sums which he may not even have been given in the first place.

Wenger has to take responsibility. Only 2 men in the box all game, one of them, Giroud, pretty much guards himself.
