10 minutes to go and 3 strikers sitting on the bench, what would have SAF done...wenger played it safe, pathetic

Almunia was back up and when he became first choice he was decent for a while. Senderos was good for a while and helped us to the CL final, Djourou was vital to us in 2010-11, RVP wanted to leave and we're in a better position now than we were with him, Arteta was vital in helping to turn around our season after the 8-2 and is still important for us.

Not saying Wenger doesn't have his faults, I agree that he should've added to the squad in January, but those aren't the best or most obvious examples to choose.

Without Theo and Aaron we are toothless.

Wenger is scared of man utd and Chelsea

He knows he cannot beat them anymore

Arsenal passing it around the back at the end of the game was pathetic.

Guess Wenger was happy with a draw.

Are you a moron?

Why would he be scared to win? Sure he can make mistakes which he obviously has, but this nonsensical question?

Higuain cost £35m. I'm very critical of Wenger atm, but I really don't believe he can just go out and make these near record-breaking transfers as liberally as people make out.

Stop calling ozil a panic buy you fool. What was the panic, we had just won 3 or 4 games in a row and Ozil is exactly the type of buy we have all been crying out for

I've been saying this for years. Wenger is a flawed genius, so good at so many things, but with glaring blind spots that ruins all the good stuff time after time.
Dein used to push him, make him have the players he liked, since Dein left he is in sole charge of recruitment, and he just doesnt like to buy players. He has an obsession with showing faith in what he has, even Vieirra said as much recently.
I look at Hazard, Higuian, Mata, Suarez etc, all wanted to play for us, all were affordable, all lost to other clubs because of Wengers stubbornness and his bizarre obsession with not spending money!

Wengers biggest weakness has always been the transfer window.

We have been in some fantastic situations in the past but he just refuses to buy the necessary players.

Who was that clown that said giroud is better than higuain?

No desire to win at all, just to finish 4th and generate cash. Time to go Arsene

I get your sacarsm, we lost to Villa and the atmosphere was toxic and that why he got Özil under his magic hat, the atmosphere today is getting even more toxic, I fear for our players confidence a lot of punters very angry with Wenger, it's been coming for years and one day very soon, there will be a civil war at the Emirates.

I swear we will have a civil war at the Emirates the fans have had enough of this man and his slow death ways.

He can only be judged at the end of the season now.

£35mil was way too high however if Wenger actually went for him in the first weeks weeks of the transfer window we would have got him for alot less.

He only went for that because real knew Napoli got loads of cash for Cavani. We could have snapped.him up for £25Mil before Napoli even sold Edison.

Wenger's biggest weakness is that he's a born loser. In the past he lent on men whose winning mentalities were forged elsewhere (Adams, Seaman, keown, Dixon, Gould and parlour were all multiple trophy winning players before he arrived and formed the initial foundation; the French connection all knew how to win from being in and around the most talented and successful national side of the era). Once it became his responsibility to mould champions, the man's shortcomings have been ruefully exposed year upon year, season upon season.

Our business in the transfer windows borders on the ludicrous.

For about 7 years it's been "judge me in May" no one ever does, when were yet again trophy less and scraping 4th

This May someone at the club should be judging him

posted on 12/2/14

I said last season he should be given one more season.

posted on 12/2/14

The man has lost that killer instinct it is reflected on his players, they look lost already and on the other hand, Jose is ruthless manager and who is going to bet against him lifting that PL trophy after one season back, shame on us for letting season after season pass us like we are only trying to finish ahead of Spurs.

Someone should; no one will. Rinse and repeat.

I think Wenger is only interested to finish ahead of mighty Spurs and he knows some of our fans will forgive him for that and getting his seasonal trophy aka top four.

Why? what sort of Manager worries about money, if Kronke wants mediocrity he should let Usmanov take over, I hate our clueless board and many fans will agree we need to be vocal or nothing will ever change.

posted on 12/2/14

Yes, but you talk as if he chooses the budget/has unlimited money. I really don't believe it's simply a question of choosing to strengthen or not. Wenger himself has said the notion that he chooses not to spend is stupid.

I personally agree with you that the board - and the limbo regarding the ownership of the club - have stifled our spending as of late.
Wenger has many flaws, and I have been very critical of him as of late, but I personally don't think it's fair to harangue him for not spending exorbitant sums which he may not even have been given in the first place.
