Just how lucky a man is David Moyes right now.
At any other top established club, their manager would be fired for the same results and performances that Moyes has churned out. Losing at home to Everton, West Brom, Swansea, Newcastle & Spurs. Drawing at home to Southampton and Fulham as well, it just isn't good enough.
Moyes repeatedly keeps making the same mistakes. Smalling at right back constantly, playing Valencia, playing Rio. Some of his selections have been tactical suicide. We have NO pace in the spine of our side.
I think it is about time Moyes was given his marching orders. Tonight was simply the straw that broke the camel's back. It has left me wondering, just what does Moyes have to do to actually get sacked? Kill one of the Glazer's? Let's get off our moral high horse and admit we picked the wrong man. Fergie was a one off, we won't get a modicum of the success we had under this genius than we will under Moyes. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work this out.
It pains me to say it, but I am actually green with envy when it comes to Brendan Rodger's and his time at Liverpool. They were under performing beforehand with Hodgson and they acted quickly to dispose and replace, which is what we should do. They now have a manager, despite some indifferent results last season, who has them playing some exquisite football that is progressive and entertaining, and they look like a club who is on the up. The same can't be said for us.
I could understand if Moyes had implemented a style. Infact he has. It is to play rigid and dull football, playing past it players and relying on crosses as a source of creativity, ignoring the fact we have the personnel to play attacking football through the middle.
A change is needed. This has 'Roy Hodgson at Liverpool' written all over it. I wish the club could locate their cojones and take affirmative action.
At least whoever comes in now will be compared to Moyes and his disastrous reign rather than Fergie's dynasty. They would essentially be like a breath of fresh air.
You can at least envisage a charismatic and intelligent coach such as Klopp to at some point get the better of his counterparts such as Mourinho & Pellegrini. You wouldn't fancy Moyes to get the better of pretty much anybody.
For what its worth, I think sacking Moyes right now could be the most astute decision the club could make going forward. We should do our best to woo Jurgen Klopp, who for me is the perfect man for the job. He'd at least bring some intelligent coaches along with him.
I mean, we all called Phelan a 'yes' man but he is a million times better than Steve Round who has the personality of a wet flannel. I couldn't tell you what his voice sounds like. I bet its dull.
Its time to rid ourselves of the mediocrity that has infested itself in our club.
That means it should be "goodbye" to Moyes, Neville, Round, Lumsden and whoever else Moyes has working under him.
I can't see any logical reason to keep hold of Moyes, and despite being excited for a summer of change, he is the last man I want to see in the driving seat calling the shots.
So so fortunate...

Liverpool fans were slated at the time but we knew Hodgson had to go and the sooner the better. We could see that given more time he was going to drag the team down so what was the point of sticking with him?
I think you guys have the same problem. Moyes is never a Man Utd manager.

Rodgers came in to Liverpool with a vision and it's being exhibited through all facets of the club.
I also think that people forget just how little time Brendan has had. This is only his second season.
He took over and in his first season he was able to identify the deadwood and get rid whilst simultaneously improving the squad and keeping hold of Suarez.
We now have laid the foundations of not just a good, but an excellent squad that i'd back to do well in the CL.
What he has done in such a short space of time is remarkable and i think he is without doubt the manager of the year

This is what we haven't done yet. We've kept Rooney, but we have several players that need replacing.

Tbf I agree with metro, Rodgers has been the best manager by far this season.
