form influences the hype and some clubs fall for it. Was Andy Carroll ever worth 35m, obviously not. just because they're involved in transfers doesn't mean they're always making the right choices

Ozil hasn't been anywhere near as good as last season.

Therefore his transfer value would be less. Nobody is doubting his quality, but this is generally how transfers work.

The form is temporary class is permanent cliche isn't relevant.

Because by that logic a player's transfer fee would never go down, which we no is not the case.

Form is also apart of a player's class, and why that cliche is a load of bull anyway.

Ronaldo and Messi are rated so highly because their form is unmatched, it's what makes them such good players.

A player can have class but not have consistency and therefore isn't as good as he should be, rendering the form is temporary class is permanent a pretty poor saying.

8bit, I didn't say they had to make the right choices. But it happens.

Carroll wasn't worth more than £3.5m in my opinion, I think he's shiiite.

But he had decent form and so his price went up, when his form went down his price when down.

His quality compared to the likes of Ozil is neither here nor there, it's about HIS value - and the same thing happens with most players.

Ozil has been class, just not as good as he was last season, because of the factors I mentioned earlier, therefore what you're saying doesn't apply on this case, or many other cases.

But it does.

There are always factors in a player's form dipping.

The reasons aren't always that important.

You are acting like I'm saying he'd cost £15m. I'm not. I'm saying it'll have gone down a bit. Because it's generally what happens.

Well these reasons are clearly important...

In terms of productivity and stats, he's actually better than he was at R.Madrid, he's just not been as good in general play.

So if he plays like he was playing at R.Madrid from now until the end of the season, his value is gonna go up again? That's called being reactionary/fickle.

The transfer market is reactionary and fickle you doughnut.

ozil's form isn't relevant, he's a world class player and still has the same quality he's always had. just because he's not showing it right now doesn't mean he's suddenly worth less, as soon as he settles he'll show that he is worth that much
