I don't think you will find many spurs supporters who wouldn't agree that left back is easily our weakest position currently.
So thinking about who might be available, one name came up that has been one of the best in the country, but hasn't been holding down a regular spot this season and so might be available; however does come with considerable baggage.
So the question is, would you take (a fit) Ashley Cole over who we have currently??

Yeah... Spurs will pay 100k plus a week for a bloke over 30.
In other words, no chance.
Plus, he's a caaant.

Zeki Fryers

I think either Cole or Evra would be a good addition.
If Rose and Fryers are to be our future, then surely including into their learning experience the opportunity to train and learn from some of the best in the business can only be a good thing?
And as for comments such as 'Ashley Cole. Is that a serious suggestion ' - pathetic. How about adding something to the discussion, rather than being high-and-mighty about it. Give someone something to agree or disagree with, rather than hiding behind a shield of superiority.

I think Evra - due to the fact he's a machine that doesn't miss a game - would be the better option of the two, though neither will happen.
Rose hasn't progressed and makes the same errors in every game. Fryers seems more disciplined and generally a better defender, an old head while he learns would be ideal.

He's a no doubt, but not as much of a as the likes of:
Mourinho
Drogba
Pepe
Terry
Lampard
Still wouldn't take him though.

I reckon we are still in with a shout for luke shaw byt more worried about this saturday.
Looks like we could end up with veljkovic in defence whilst a very good youngster it is not ideal to be making his debut.
