So this year's FA cup final is to be played on the 17th May though the k.o. time has yet to be decided. This is the week after the completion of the league season so there will be no other games taking place on the same day. As a City fan I know that the 5:15 k.o. last year meant that it was not possible for our fans to use the train to attend if you wanted to be home the same evening as the last train back to Manchester is at 9 p.m.
What are the chances of the cup final being at the traditional 3 p.m. this year?
I don't really understand the reason for it being at the later time anyway - if they say it suits the TV audience better aren't they missing the fact that this would mean people in the far and middle east would be unable to watch it due to it starting so late in their local time?
Also even if City don't make it this year, I think I'd still prefer it at 3 so that my evening is freed up if I want to watch it.
I think the majority of people would share my thoughts on this but wondered if there is much, if any, support for the later k.o.
