We are just 2 games into the season and have already suffered 2 heavy defeats and already I'm fed up with hearing all the platitudes from our leader.
The on pitch let downs we had last season,you know,"I took over when Coppell left and had to pick up the pieces",the planning and pre-season was rubbish,injuries,virusies,team selection,square pegs in round holes,tactics,substitutions,fitness,DVD's,that was all last year.
This year was going to be so different,most of us took a deep breath and believed the talk but we've not yet seen the walk,and now this...
This is 10 of his wonders from the last couple of days..
* We need outside help..
* We have known for a long time and nothing has changed..
* I'm going to have to get on with it..
* There is no hiding place..
* The players have to put things right themselves..
* The shape was right..
* They will do it by fighting..
* They will show me the character I know they have..
* We cannot afford to feel sorry for ourselves..
* They won the 2nd half like I asked them to..
I'm sorry but it's clueless,spineless,lacklustre,shallow and shows how weak we are..
We need leadership,motivation,man-management,apart from all of the on field issues,it's no good saying we've played the top teams but we've got easier ones to come.
Action and results count and is required,all of these platitudes and buck passing means sod all..
Millen Talks...

Well said that man. The only thing I will add is, Keef should have gone months ago.
You could tell with all the excuses last season that he was out of his depth. But many fans & the board failed to see it.
I'm surprised that SL has let this club, start to slide back to yesteryear after all that was achieved in the last 5 years. The fans had come back, we were on a good run, talk of a new stadium, we were all on a high.
It seems since the world cup bid which failed, the interest is no longer there.
I hope I'm wrong.

This almost sounds like Bristol City are there for the taking tonight...
I'm gonna be a little cautious.
What will be interesting is will Nicky Maynard play?

Onefor
In answer to your above comment, here is a statement from SexyColin
"With the transfer window set to close two weeks from now, chief investor Steve Lansdown is prepared to loosen the purse strings and back the manager in the transfer market in a bid to stave off another season of struggle."
A good and concise statement, well timed to inject a little relief into the camp for tonight's difficult match. It needed to be made, and hopefully will produce results, not only tonight but in the days leading up to the window closure.

That is good news BRR but we need a new manager to get the best from it.. Millen is OUT OF HIS DEPTH..
Otherwise he will be wasting his money.

I think we can assume that Millen isnt going anywhere for the time being. Lets just get behind the man and see where thats gets us. His limitations will shine through eventually but lets play our part to help the team.

It could get us back to League one Redside..

Redside
I think you have hit on the only course of action open, and possibly the only one which makes any sense.
While I have been horrified by the performances so far this season, it is still very early days for dismembering the club set up. Hopefully Millen will get things sorted out and start giving out positive vibes grounded in some reality.
Otherwise onefor could be proved right, and then we'd all suffer
