Canelo = fat fack

Anyone see the weigh in? Canelo weighed in at 155, Angulo at 154.5. Canelo's team/GBP apparently had a deal in place so that if Canelo couldn't make the 154 weight, they'd give Angulo some £££ to extend the limit.

Canelo must be really struggling to make 154, I think he'll be moving up to 160 pretty soon.

If you offered me a 5 million pound I would also say I would have no trouble making 152lbs and I would make it even if it severely weakened me.

He didn't have to say he managed easy it was also only 1lbs different from the trout fight! Canelo was drained about as much as cotto
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What was he going to say, it was hard as hell and I could train on my skill because I was cutting weight so much?

Every fighter says they have a great training camp and are in great shape before a big fight. Don't you know anything about sport psychology ?

Yeah fighters who drain themselfs do you don't see Floyd and manny looking susceptible as they don't hydrate at all!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Manny and Floyd don't cut the weight to make the weight that is the problem.

When you cut weight you do it by shedding fluid. You lose fluid around the brain that protects it. When you rehydrate you take on that extra fluid but 12 hours is not enough time for it to replace what was loss around the brain.

Thus you fighters would go into boxing fights have a lowered punch resistance and likely to suffer from brain injuries.

That is why they made the move to make the weigh in the day before the fight normally around 36 before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is my point fighters should not be allowed to cut so much weight if they need to hydrate 20+lbs to be fit

Do you not think it's dangerous for fighters being outweighed by 20lbs plus on fight night?.

Diamond, read my recommendations.

Do you think Khan's telling the truth about his punch resistance at 140 then?

posted on 8/3/14

If he was saying he was too big to make 140 and struggled to make the weight, then yes it would reduce his punch resistance.

When he moved from 135lbs to 140lbs his punch resistance instantly improved.

Roach also thought Khan was a little top heavier as well and put some more leg work in to training.

At 147lbs he punch resistance will be stronger, but if one of the big punchers do tag him him with something big then he will be doing his dance again.

Khan recovery seem pretty poor, take him a good 3 minutes or longer to recover from being shook from a huge punch.
