So it seems the majority of folks on here (and on twitter) want Billy out. Being completely honest I'm not sure what I think, and so am going to take the safe fence sitting position.
There's no doubt that Billy Davies is a despicable little man. I've always thought this, but he is also a good manager, and has taken us to the playoffs twice, and if it wasn't for some God awful luck with injuries, then a third time would be more than likely.
Injuries to Lansbury and Reid in particular have been crippling. This has taken the heart out of the team, and to lose both players has hit hard. Losing Hobbs and Cohen, the two best performers in our back 4 has also been pretty catastrophic. These injuries are the reason we are not in the top 6 currently, end of. No team could cope with losing their best 5 or 6 players for long stretches, and not feel the consequences.
I've seen the 'well you've gone and signed crock players' argument, and this doesn't really stick. Hobbs was our best player for the first half of the season. There were chants in the crowd to sign him permanently, outrage when we almost lost him, and immense joy when he signed a contract with us. For him to then get injured for such a long time was very unlucky, and to have a dig at Davies for this is absurd. The Vaughan situation is a strange one, but again, chants of "sign him up" rang around the CG more than once. I can see the benefit of signing Vaughan knowing of an injury if it was just a short term one, which maybe was the case, but it turning into such a long absence, with hindsight, ended up being a bit of a faux par.
I don't think there are any managers available who can come in and turn our play off hopes around. Billy knows the team inside out, and stands as good a chance as any other manager as pushing us over the finishing line this season. Like I said before I can't stand the man, but realistically, getting someone else in at this stage would be stupid and achieve nothing.
So I say stick with the little weasel for the rest of the season, because it would be grossly unfair to sack a manager given the injuries we've had, which have been the reason our season has derailed. You never know, we could still make the play offs with a few players back from the treatment table, and with everyone pulling in the same direction come the last few weeks, we could even get promoted!
Sat on the fence ...

Agree with this but NFFC can't keep using injuries as an excuse. We have enough talent at the club not to have been totally humiliated yesterday. Following recent performances I actually didn't expect us to win yesterday but neither did I expect the appalling display witnessed by everyone who tuned in. Something is seriously wrong and it needs addressing sooner rather than later. We are a disgrace & a laughing stock both on & off the pitch

Moussi should be embarrassed after the performances he puts in for Forest. He would not get a regular position in any Championship club. He's league one standard at best.

Surely the point is that Billy, in his careless expenditure on too many indifferent players, left no cash or patience in FAH's locker to get good, but maybe expensive loans in to fill in behind his admittedly numerous injuries. That is not bad luck, it's bad management.

Never thought it would happen. Pains me to do it, but............ I agree!!!

Why do we even bother opening up such a debate with Derby supporters

Just wanted to get my view across Rev. Can't really see how posting my views on Forest on the Forest board is 'opening up a debate with Derby'.

Ramdini, you could be right but on the other hand getting a loanee to replace say Reid or Lansbury you would need to be looking at lower end Premiership players. It would be very difficult and yes expensive to bring a player on a three month loan when the loan player himself knows that he will be on the bench as soon as the injured player is fit.
