in the Bayern midfield, surely we can try and control the game from midfield with the right personal in there, let us not forget we have to score to have any chance of qualifying and sitting back and waiting for a set piece to be able to score will just not be enough to take us through. I believe we should put players in there who can hurt the opposition and not just put in a shift, this is a winnable tie and i think we should go for it.

Yeah, 'control the midfield' is a ridiculous notion. Never going to happen.

No Bastian, Martinez or Alcantara?
Who do we want to play in the semi final?

We went to Bayer Leverkusen and wiped the floor with them.

This is football, we can have a better game than bayern, i can't believe how some people just throw up their arms in despair before the ball is even passed, they are depleted, we stand a chance, we should take it instead of going to stand back scared like little girls. fortune favors the brave.

I think they had an off day at OT.
But they still dominated the possession and the game. Granted we had some good chances, but we were at home and we are Man United.

Just because bayern didn't win doesn't mean they had an off day.
We defended superbly. I thought they played very well and passed the ball around superbly they just couldn't find a way through due to our superb defending rather than them playing poorly.
If we defend like that again tonight we can get a result, it is no way beyond us especially when they have 3 good players out

We cut them open a few times and they looked shaky at the back. Coupled with the fact they score very close to 3 goals a game and only scored 1 means they performed below par. hence them scorinig only 1 goal - an off day. What factors contributed to that off day is open for debate; but it still constitutes an off day.
Lets hope for another
