Watching the Maynard interview tonight, I was struck by his reaction to the question about the contract situ. A decision in the next 2 weeks. Looking at his face during the interview I'm afraid I fear the worst.
But no-one can deny - Maynard belongs in the Premiership for his own sake and for the sake of English football. It makes it even more vital that we can do the unthinkable this season, because I think Nicky will be gone otherwise.
However, it is possible we could be getting bad news soon. Mind you, I seriously thought we were going to get trounced tonight, so what do I know

Wont be long before as prem team comes knocking and he'l be off im afraid. % million would be nice, we can do alot with that if given the time.

IMO 5million is not enough as Crewe will get a fair percentage of the fee....
I would be looking for a minimum of 7.5million for a player of his quality....
I just hope we could hold on to him....we need players like that to be able to progress..

yes onefor. I agree as I'm sure we all do that City would be better off keeping him, but I cant see that its going to happen.
And I think anyone bidding 7.5 Mil for him would end up filling their number nine shirt with Maynard

looks like leicester have gone back in with offer around £6 million and its been accepted
