Plus it is a Britain only issue the 'xenophobia'

The fact that avb may have not been offered a job in the pl/championship shows this

Since the PL began, it has mostly been won by English managers, so teams are right to be wary of appointing a manager who is not English.

What English manager had won the PL?

I agree with this in general.

Look at Rodgers first season....he did nothing special and no one said anything.

AVB was under pressure from the media immediately and it took until about Christmas for them to find another target as we did quite well, but then in 2014 result were ok but the media focussed on our lack of goals and occasional thrashing to build pressure on him.

Sherwood's reign has been similar. A lack of goals and thrashed by City, Chelsea and LFC yet the media paint him as the victim

I think it all boils down to how managers handle the media.

Redknapp is a motor mouth and gives them quotes aplenty, and they love him for it.

AVB was a bit cold and spikey, seemed a bit arrogant for a young man so they hated him and targeted him.

I actually am struggling to think of an English manager who has won the PL!

Scottish yes, Portugese yes, Italian yes, French yes, but no English ones!

None and given the lack of them out there it could be a while.
