Toughest Draw Jose Could Get

Have to laugh at the ignorance shown by Chelsea fans regarding the draw today. Have they got the easiest draw ON PAPER.... yes but the other 2 teams would have suited Jose down to a tee! With obviously a point to prove Vs Real and someone who would know their team inside out Jose would relish 2 legs Vs Real not to mention the CL curse they have Real bottle it at this point anyway.

Then Bayern well Arsenal & United have both rattled Bayern already in this competition and that's with coaches who are pretty incapable of much at this stage in the competition so imagine Jose. He would know exactly how to get the results wanted Vs Pep. He's successfully parked the bus against him before and I'd back him to 100% succeed again. Pep has improved Bayern's style going forward but the story of his managerial career is how leaky he gets at the back. This brings us on to Atletico they're so mean this year I fancy them Vs Anyone seriously, they're animals and being favourites doesn't suit Chelsea. Jose thrives of being the underdog and masterminding victory. D. Costa & Courtios who could both be in blue next season will have points to prove and I'd back both to have blinders.

Those players would kill for Simeone just like Chelsea players would do the same for Jose so will be an interesting tie but if I was a Chelsea fan this draw would have worried me the most, exactly what Henry said in our seeds before he was right. You don't knock Barca out over 2 legs without being pretty capable!

But go on let's assume the CL trophy has Chelsea written all over it

I'd love to know where this has come from. Pretty much everyone on the cfc board wanted to avoid Atletico.

Also we are still far from expectant that we will beat them. Its just that we believe in our team and know that even in our weakest moments we can surprise people. That's the Chelsea way.

Yet here you are commenting on my post that has nothing to do with your team

I agree with that assessment. Pep's teams are always weak at the back we had no striker and caused them harm unfortunately Neuer is superman however I'd back Jose to exploit Pep's weaknesses more freely than he could at Madrid due to demands of the hierarchy

Real are cursed for this stage Wengooner has a point they might be the weakest but I say on paper due to Real's current firepower in (Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Di Maria, Jese, Isco).

I just think Jose is alot more suited to being the underdog and this is the tie he probably least wanted

Don't see the justification for saying this either

I haven't seen any unreasonable optimism on the Chelsea boards. Tbh, I think they'd rightly fancy their chances regardless of who they came up against. Not to say they would be favourites, but any match up looks close enough on paper to feel optimistic about your own club being able to pull it off.

We are the outsiders with the bookies for both the PL and CL and i think that's how most Chelsea fans view it too

Atletico 7/2
Chelsea 9/2

Underdogs.

Yep, we are the underdogs, and will have all the Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs fans hoping Atletico win.

That is just how we like it

Chelsea did brilliantly against PSG, worthy winners. I did however say a couple of days ago, that Real, Bayern & Chelsea would all hope to avoid Atletico in the Semis.

I think Chelsea would stand more chance if they were playing either Bayern or Real, although realistically Chelsea are potentially the weakest of the four semi finalists.

But after your antics a few years ago, I wouldn't put it past you to go on & win the CL!

I don't think we can repeat what we did in 2012, not by those means anyhow.

AM is the worst draw for us imo. They are easilly the fittest team in the competition, they are well drilled, press well and defend compact and with Costa have the ideal counter attacking weapon.........

Given how hard we find it to score agst well organised teams, I make them favourites to go to the final.

Atleti are physically the strongest team left in the competition. Mourinho is used to overpowering technically better teams physically and he won't be able to do that.

but more than that the physical battle Atleti will pose will take it's toll bearing in mind they play the scousers at the weekend. I'd be very surprised if they got a positive result in all 3 games.
