TBH I can see Chelsea winning the tournament. I wish I could have that confidence with my own team!

Most of us have said we didn't want AM in the draw, so this looks like yet another bitter pointless article.

It seems many of you on the Arsenal board are reverting to articles about other clubs who are having better seasons than your own club.

Articles like these and the several on your board tyring to discredit Liverpool's season just makes you look like bitter mugs.

That used to be the role performed by Spurs fans, but you seem to be catching them up.

I suggest focus on your own failings as a football club instead of being so bitter .

I'd argue you are not "TheObservantOne" going by your first sentence :/

We know how difficult it will be. We let it go to our heads once before and on that occasion Monaco beat us. Never again.

Top 4 and the FA cup whilst either Liverpool or Chelsea could still only be 1 place above us and trophyless means that all our seasons are still in the balance

Also been on twitter and swarmed with Chelsea fans thinking they've won it already might not be referring to every supporter but the majority I've seen since the draw was announced has shown ignorance.

No failings to focus on just yet, our season is still alive, you might have a point if it wasn't though

Oh that's where your wrong I observe a lot and that's beyond these boards.... or did you think you were the only Chelsea fans about? There's more of you plastics elsewhere believe it or not

Well on this forum most know AM are incredibly tough. Most of us wanted Bayern becuase we gave them a tough match in the Super Cup and they are not that strong at the back.

The problem with AM is that they are so well organised and so incrediblty fit i just think Chelsea lack the cutting edge to break them down and score

Have they got the easiest draw ON PAPER
------------------
Why? Atletico are above Real in the league and just knocked out Barca. I'd say that Real are the weakest remaining team this year.

I wish we where the weakest remaining team in the CL..........

An all Spanish final might not go down to well with the locals in Lisbon.

I always know its school holiday time by the amount of new posters and articles on the Arsenal board.

Hey hey come on now, chin up scamp, we're in the FA Cup semi finals

This observant lad again more worried about other teams then his own the very definition of a plastic

I'd love to know where this has come from. Pretty much everyone on the cfc board wanted to avoid Atletico.

Also we are still far from expectant that we will beat them. Its just that we believe in our team and know that even in our weakest moments we can surprise people. That's the Chelsea way.

Yet here you are commenting on my post that has nothing to do with your team

I agree with that assessment. Pep's teams are always weak at the back we had no striker and caused them harm unfortunately Neuer is superman however I'd back Jose to exploit Pep's weaknesses more freely than he could at Madrid due to demands of the hierarchy

Real are cursed for this stage Wengooner has a point they might be the weakest but I say on paper due to Real's current firepower in (Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Di Maria, Jese, Isco).

I just think Jose is alot more suited to being the underdog and this is the tie he probably least wanted

But go on let's assume the CL trophy has Chelsea written all over it
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't see the justification for saying this either

I haven't seen any unreasonable optimism on the Chelsea boards. Tbh, I think they'd rightly fancy their chances regardless of who they came up against. Not to say they would be favourites, but any match up looks close enough on paper to feel optimistic about your own club being able to pull it off.

We are the outsiders with the bookies for both the PL and CL and i think that's how most Chelsea fans view it too

Atletico 7/2
Chelsea 9/2

Underdogs.

posted on 11/4/14

Yep, we are the underdogs, and will have all the Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs fans hoping Atletico win.

That is just how we like it

Chelsea did brilliantly against PSG, worthy winners. I did however say a couple of days ago, that Real, Bayern & Chelsea would all hope to avoid Atletico in the Semis.

I think Chelsea would stand more chance if they were playing either Bayern or Real, although realistically Chelsea are potentially the weakest of the four semi finalists.

But after your antics a few years ago, I wouldn't put it past you to go on & win the CL!

I don't think we can repeat what we did in 2012, not by those means anyhow.

AM is the worst draw for us imo. They are easilly the fittest team in the competition, they are well drilled, press well and defend compact and with Costa have the ideal counter attacking weapon.........

Given how hard we find it to score agst well organised teams, I make them favourites to go to the final.

Atleti are physically the strongest team left in the competition. Mourinho is used to overpowering technically better teams physically and he won't be able to do that.

but more than that the physical battle Atleti will pose will take it's toll bearing in mind they play the scousers at the weekend. I'd be very surprised if they got a positive result in all 3 games.
