We haven't since the dull Cardiff 1_0 win scored the opening goal in a match. Yes we 've come back from behind ie Saints, Sunderland and WBA but that last match was lucky for us. I have noticed over the years that when Spurs have a bad trend and then break it a long unbeaten run follows; So, this going behind must be stopped. I will probably get crucified but I think a long unbeaten run will come when we score the opening goal and win the match.

basically completely proving him wrong on his Sherwood showing up AVB myth, watch him try and squirm out of it

As you can see under Sherwood our defence has fallen to pieces and he has managed less games than AVB so far. This research was all competitions so both mixture of cup and league (fair comparison)

showing avb how to be 2-0 down to relegation sides in 4 minutes

I would hazard a guess that Chicken may point to how AVB left us in 7th place and Sherwood has us currently in 6th and that that counts as progress.

United win their game in hand which they are capable of then we go back to 7th. We have not improved at all in fact defensively we have got a lot worse so chicken cant really come back at that.

He might also say we played the weaker teams under AVB in the cup and European games which is true, and that that may flatter our goal tally and defensive record under him. That said Europa is still seen as a distraction and AVB had more of it to contend with.
So yeah there really isn't much you to support progress being made under Tim.
