Morning you moist lot. Not been on here much lately due to political reasons.
Now then, I'll keep the question brief, much like my underwear.
Now what's with this supposed 'hate mob' in Barcelona (section of fans) supposedly lobbying for Cesc Fabregas to be shown the door at the Nou Camp this summer? All seems a bit harsh, no? I appreciate that us football fans are emotive creatures and not always the most rational things God put breath in, but it all seems incredibly over the top to me.
Let's crystalize it; Barca surely won't entertain selling ANY of their players in and around the 1st-team if the transfer ban imposed on them for the duration of 2 transfer windows (essentially a season) isn't overturned, will they?
Having spoken to friends in Spain more in the loop with Catalan culture than myself, I'm told that the signing of Fabregas was born more out of an obsession at board level than anything else.
Fabregas was always seen as 'Barca's player' (by the board) and the fact that he upped sticks and left for Arsenal's academy as a boy put a lot of noses out of joint. It's THIS fact that has actually meant that at fan level, Fab was always onto a loser, there were always going to be sections of the support who felt that (in)famours 'Barca DNA' dissipated into the ether the moment he decided he was going to leave Catalonia for London!
Barca have hit the skids recently at both domestic & Champions League level and true to form, the fans have been firing up the blame-thrower and on this occasion it's Fabregas who has had his prominent eyebrows singed. The midfielder was roundly booed by Barca fans when he came on as a sub in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao...
Now as an Arsenal fan I've far more happy Fabregas memories than bad. He always gave it his all on the pitch and was a joy to watch. I'm not quite so blinkered to deny that behind the scenes, he very likely pulled a few untoward 'flankers' to hasten the move 'back home'. Such is life...
Finally, just to contradict some previous points, would Arsenal fans welcome and/or want him back at the Emirates? You could argue 'they don't need him', but in my mind IF you can bag a player who would almost certainly strengthen and add to the team, then you take the plunge, much like with the Ozil signing.
Like I say, unless Barca get the imposed transfer-embargo overturned, I can't see them entertaining the idea of selling anyone in or around the 1st-team. I don't know that to be a 'fact', it's just common sense in my moist & humble opinion.
What's YOUR take on this?

Fabregas phased out of Catalonia?

Its true that Cesc actually left not only for his real affection for Barca but to play with his best friend messi and under his idol Pep.
Tata is a big fan of Cesc. The problem is there has always been this perception that Cesc is the reason why Tiki Taka is not working which is deluded. He was blamed when barca bombed out to Bayern last season and the same thing has happened again. He is not a silky player like Iniesta or Xavi so they dont quite recognize his value but the funny thing is he is the best source of goals after Messi.
The current Barca setup is flawed and whoever the new manager is will have some spring cleaning to do.
The clueless Tito wanted to sell Cesc last season but Cesc waited for the new manager but the hate still continues.

And thats the point b10.
Has Cesc realized that he will never be a legend at Barca?

Their transfer ban hasn't been lifted. It has been put on hold, pending an appeal.

And it's widely recognised (apparently) that this is just a 'sweep under the rug job'. Don't expect the powers that be to announce in the next few weeks that the ban is 'back on'. Barca NEED to make signings this summer in key areas and at the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, they'll be allowed to make those signings this summer, I'm fairly sure of that.

No Moist. CAS will make their decision in Aug. And Barca are resigned to losing. Thats why they are going after players in 18-23 age group than fully developed players.

Well, in the interest of fairness, I hope you're right. I'm going on the opinions of certain people who I trust in knowing a whole lot more about this than I do. Most are under the impression that Barca will sign players this summer. But I take on board what you say and hope that you're right.
