Fabregas phased out of Catalonia?

Fab leaving Arsenal was a fair bit different to the likes of Nasri and RVP and he never talked badly of Arsenal after or during his time here, even if he wanted out. I remember he took a penner with a broken leg!

I would have him back in a heart beat, he's just too good; however as you say Barca probably won't sell anyone while they have a transfer ban unless someone from the academy has already replaced them in the team, I'm not aware that's happened to Cesc yet.

I'm in your camp Wengooner.

Just as a side, there are several stories saying that Alexis Sanchez has agreed to join Juventus this summer, which, IF true, I'd find utterly bizarre.

I think it would be unfair on other players if we sign Fabregas. Of course he would be a great addition to any team and barca as silly to let him go!

if we sign a Striker, DM, replace or keep Sagna, fabianski and TV, and we got offered Fabregas I wouldnt say no but not before we've sorted out other areas first

I dont want to see Fab playing for United, City, Chelsea or Pool so if hes available sign him up. He is still better than anything we have at the club.

There's no doubt that there are FAR more pressing areas that need looking at player/squad wise. I also agree with the areas you've highlighted (think most Gooners feel the same).

But as BOSS says, IF Fabregas were to be made available, you can bet your bottom dollar that Citteh, Chelsea & Utd (to name but 3 clubs) would very likely push the boat out to get him.

I was writing about this on another thread: basically football in Spain is very political to say the least and they love it when "one of their own" plays in the shirt rather than a so called outsider. The problem is that they have never really taken to Fabregas in Catalonia as their own as they have to others who came out of La Masia such as Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Messi and Pedro for instance.

The reasons for this is due to their decline certainly this season a scapegoat has been needed and who better than Fabregas. The boy under Pep was played in an awkward position which stifled him and he has never really had that freedom to express himself even after Pep left. Barcelona put simply have taken away the natural flair that was given to him at Arsenal.

Having watched pretty much every Barca game he does start in midfield where he prefers in that 3 alongside Xavi and Busquets but his influence on the game is nowhere as large as it used to be at Arsenal. He has become almost machine like. He is not a holding midfielder and neither is he really a player that should be playing in the hole behind the striker where he is often deployed. The way the Catalans play just doesn't get the best out of him and he needs to move to another club to resurrect his career. The fans booing and jeering at him however is disgusting.

I for one would love him at Liverpool.

He should come back for sake of his career. But his pride and ego are too much.

Incessant booing from the Camp Nou isnt going to do much good for either of them, is it?

Barca transfer ban lifted, for now. (way to go FIFA)

I would always welcome Cesc back, he's still the best playmaker in the world in my eyes. Given that Tata is almost nailed on to be leaving at the end of the season, it's probably hard to see where his future lies until a new manager arrives and gives his evaluation of the squad. But if he is available then we have to get him back, regardless of whether he's the type of player we desperately need. He is to good to miss out on.

As a side note the transfer ban may not be relevant this Summer, if the appeals process causes the ban to be suspended for a period.

I actually feel sorry for him because he has played far better than xavi and Iniesta this season but just like the season before he will always be blamed when barca have a shocking defence and busquets plays half asleep.

I accept bringing him back will be unfair on our ever improving players but just for these 3 reasons I would certainly want him back at the club

1) His buy back clause means we can pick him up for 25 million.Thats peanuts in my opinion.
2) So that united, liverpool, chelsea and city dont buy him
3) Sentimental reasons.my favourite player since Henry.

In terms of how he would fit in, some have suggested ozil plays on the wing but that would mean trouble for the full back so we can only assume that Ozil could be retraded in the future or sacrificed for Cesc who is a better fit at arsenal. Ozil might want to go back to Real, who knows.

Barca's transfer ban has been lifted. What a bunch of pussiesss run FIFA and UEFA ? This will make easy to bring Fab back. Song can fek off to Utd.

Cesc did the 'wait for a new manager' to change things last season. Didn't work out too well did it?

Wenger said last season that he will make up his mind this summer. Probably something to do with the clauses.

Cesc will always be the square peg in the round hole at Barca. His best position is one in which Iniesta plays and he isn't disciplined enough to replace Xavi. That means Cesc will always be the first alternate who was never a part of all the success. I think the only reason why Cesc hasn't moved already is the fact he is Messi's best friend.

New Striker

I actually feel sorry for Jack as he might not have a big career with us and I rate him very highly.

What do your sources say about this situation?

Sign him if available use him as back-up for ramsey and ozil, very good squad player

Only one source 50, and he doesn't cover Spain so no idea. Some of my sis in laws are members at Barca but they are just fans with very strong opinions and they dislike Cesc.

And I never take his word unless its corroborated by other papers. Information comes from 3 sources, player agents, club agents and ancillaries in the deals such as scouts, medical staff etc.

Most rumours appearing now are from player/club agents. Player agents are full of sh/t, can you believe Giroud asking for a pay rise for being average? Club agents stay tight lipped but you start noticing rumours leaking from selling side, especially if the selling club wants to sell. Morata looks a very strong rumour at the moment.

Its true that Cesc actually left not only for his real affection for Barca but to play with his best friend messi and under his idol Pep.

Tata is a big fan of Cesc. The problem is there has always been this perception that Cesc is the reason why Tiki Taka is not working which is deluded. He was blamed when barca bombed out to Bayern last season and the same thing has happened again. He is not a silky player like Iniesta or Xavi so they dont quite recognize his value but the funny thing is he is the best source of goals after Messi.

The current Barca setup is flawed and whoever the new manager is will have some spring cleaning to do.

The clueless Tito wanted to sell Cesc last season but Cesc waited for the new manager but the hate still continues.

And thats the point b10.

Has Cesc realized that he will never be a legend at Barca?

And it's widely recognised (apparently) that this is just a 'sweep under the rug job'. Don't expect the powers that be to announce in the next few weeks that the ban is 'back on'. Barca NEED to make signings this summer in key areas and at the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, they'll be allowed to make those signings this summer, I'm fairly sure of that.

No Moist. CAS will make their decision in Aug. And Barca are resigned to losing. Thats why they are going after players in 18-23 age group than fully developed players.

Well, in the interest of fairness, I hope you're right. I'm going on the opinions of certain people who I trust in knowing a whole lot more about this than I do. Most are under the impression that Barca will sign players this summer. But I take on board what you say and hope that you're right.

There is absolute no way Cesc Fabregas will be sold.
