alot of people give Pep alot of credit for `inventing -keep-the-ball` football but thats simply not true, by the time he took over Barca they were already a superpower with their unique passing football,it all started with LVG but then it really took off when Frank Rijkaard took over, Barca was doing really badly in la liga and Rijkaard brought in players like Ronaldhino Deco Davids Etto, he also gave chances to Messi Iniesta Xavi Puyol and the rest as they say is history, yes Pep did win alot with Barca but who wouldnt with that team??? then he takes over Bayern again same story,Bayen won the treble just before Pep took over,he cant really improve them can he?? actually alot of football experts have been saying that Bayern are weaker with Pep in charge so why do some United fans want this guy in charge? he`s never build a team from scratch,LVG has time and again, Pep isnt yet a proven manager far from it, LVG is the man we need ......end of

I'm sorry but Rijkaard's team that we beat in '08 was no where near the standard of Pep's team that made us look like a League 2 side in '09 and '11.
He took them into a different stratosphere and made the vision of Cruyff (and to an extent LVG) a reality and did much more than just "keep ball".
Barcelona moved the ball, at pace ,and cut through teams with ease and played some of the most exciting attacking football we've ever seen.
Even when they lost to Chelsea they hammered them and could/should have been 3-0 up after 20 minutes of the first leg at SB.
People saying that Barca didn't have a plan b are talking nonsense. Plan b doesn't just mean sticking a big man up front and hoofing it up to him.
They would change from 4-3-3, to 3-4-3, to 3-5-2 during the same game, when the quick passing didn't work they work the ball from one side to the other looking for gaps, if that didn't work they'd start dribbling to take player out of the game, no plan b? pffft!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
'Lack of Plan B' basically means 'Why don't you try English tactics that have worked so well over the years?'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know why you bother with talking so much sense mate. Anyone who reckons a manager who has won something like 9 trophies in three seasons does not have a plan B is watching the wrong sport.
