Liverpool have played the best football in the league and have been the form side of the season.
Fair play.
Although a little bit naive. I also respect the fact that they play the complete opposite to Mourinho when the going gets tough.
They play a very confident gung ho attacking football.
Very unfortunate not to have won the league.
When I look at some of the players plying their trade there. One can't help but feel that was not their level. And that they were playing above their station.
They've massively over achieved.
Looking at quality of personnel. Overall, they don't have more talented players than say Chelsea, City or Arsenal.
I just can't see them playing with the same intensity and hunger next year. Everything just clicked for them this year.
Will be very difficult to replicate that.
I doubt we'll see another title challenge in our lifetime unfortunately.
Also, I want to ask any lurking scousers a question.
Has Gerrard's rep among you guys taken a hit after that slip?

Credit to Rodgers, didn't expect Liverpool to be this good.
We'll see if they can keep it up next season when they have to play in Europe. This is where Rodgers needs to prove himself. It's different managing your squad I've a season when you have midweek European games.
The extra matches isn't as much an issue as people make out, it's just how you prepare the team when you have midweek games that can takes its toll.

Although i do think Liverpool won't get a better chance of winning the league than they did this season, i think with the right purchases this summer, they can sustain a credible title challenge for next season.
They have the players already. They now have the experience. They'll need another remarkable run of games and a good helping of luck, but i don't see why they can't challenge next season.
