The worst result last night?

On another woeful night for our game, it looks on paper like the Hearts result was the worst.

But then again, realistically should we have expected anything else? I don't think so given the respective budgets.

Then you have relative minnows Maribor beating Rangers, but Rangers grabbing a precious away goal in ridiculous temperatures, so not too bad a result in the grand scheme of things.

Lastly we have Celtic failing to score on their own ground against distinctly average Swiss opposition. Given Celtic's away record, it's a tall order for them to get through now.

What was the most damaging result for Scottish fitba? Hard to say, but we are definitely on the fast track to becoming a league of ireland standard.

Depressing all round.

You see what you want to see. Deluded to the very last.

Away goals are harder to come by - Rangers is in the bag.

Both teams need to score, but home advanatge counts for a lot, or is this something you bhoys disagree with?

Deluded?

I can clearly see it says Rangers is in the bag. You know that you were on about Rangers qualifying as that comment was in the middle of a who is best placed to qualify debate.

You would be better holding your hands up and admitting a faux pas as your decent article is getting destroyed by your comment.

Given Rangers' woeful home record, I don't think theres too much of an advantage.

Celtic have a decent away record outside of the Champions League group stages, by the way.

Not too much of an advantage - but an advantage. <OK>

I can't believe anyone is arguing over "who has the best worst score" ffs!

They were all mince. Hearts are out. I was hoping they would draw it close to give them some sort of hope of progressing, but it wasn't even close, so it's clear their score was the worst, despite facing the superior opposition.
We're all in the same position though and having to do something in a one-off game to ensure qualification.

Imo, Celtic are slightly better off, because they can manage a score draw away and still progress.
We are also in the position of needing to score, but 1-0 puts the tie on a knife-edge.

Look at Malmo.

I hope we both progress, and that Hearts can restore some sort of pride in the second leg.
You can only blame Romanov for that in sacking someone yet again, a couple of weeks before the tie.
There's no chance someone can come in and instill his tactics and belief in a group of players, when it's clear he doesn't even pick the team

Either way, both our results were poor, aganist very average opposition. I'm starting to be thankful that neither of us are in the Champions League, if this is the standard of result we're getting aganist mediocre teams.

I was there last night! and yes we were not at our best in-fact IMO we could not be any worse! so that gives me great believe we will score and win the game over there! Also for the Internet coaches out there yes lennon made a few tactical mistakes last night and i believe will learn from them but we were the better team, we were always in control we were just pash up front simple as that. Also you say that maybe Celtics result was the worst??? i dont see that remember this is a team that has played and beaten the like of young boys (battered spurs last year) and basle who are also in and around the champions league every year! what is apparent tho is we need a target man striker as sammy is not that man! again fellow bhoys i will suport the celts over and over! and to all you so called celtic fans instead of talking the talk walk the walk get yer selfs down ta parkhead sing the celtic song and cheer them on lol
Hail Hail to all the real celts oot there!
