WHO DO YOU SING FOR ? I Sing For......

It's all to play for.
Finals GALORE.

Today's FA Cup final.
Arsenal v HULL CITY .
C'mon fellow Town fans, We have to be going for the Tigers in this one.
1st time in a major Final in their 110 year history.
Odds on Underdogs. yet , highest placed YORKSHIRE side in the Football leagues, on account that they are the counties only representative in the Premier league... That's proper Yorkshire, the Three Ridings, none of this daft re-zoning ball aches of the early 70's

Taken from the BBC sports page....
"it is the club's first appearance in a major final in its 110-year history.

Hull's Paragon Station has been adorned with banners in the club's black and amber colours and the statue of poet Philip Larkin on the station concourse was sporting a city scarf.

Life-long fan Mike Wright has travelled from Perth in Australia for the final.
'It's fabulous'

He said he was "stunned" when he found out his brother-in-law Robert had managed to get him a ticket."
I can relate to this Good Luck Mr Wright.

QPR v Derby County.
....Come on you RAMS. Derby fans have stuck with them over the years, very good average gates compared to most in our division, Where as QPR would appear to have a rich owner trying to buy their way back into the top flight. That said, They have some good players and will be hard to beat.
can't call this one

Orient v Rotherham.
despite Nathan Clarke being captain of the 'O's'. And the fact they have done well all season & knocking out Pete's Borough
I'm going for local side Rothers. a club who like ourselves almost went under a few seasons ago, & have clawed their way back & find themselves in a cracking new 'home' & now a chance to join us in the 'champs'...besides, Yorkshire has just lost two 'reps' to relegation,
good luck to the Merry Millers

Fleetwood v Southend/Burton...
Fleetwood regardless who the opponent will be...."It's a Northern thing" .

Cambridge United v Gateshead.
I enjoyed all the playoff ties from this league, This could be a cracking final.
Cambridge worth winners against Halifax Town. with superb support at this level.
and Gateshead. hard fought games to dispatch Grimsby, again both well supported, however...Gateshead might just find a legion of fans from nowhere for this final ! previous 3 games attendances were as follows...
705, (v Tamworth. & that was pretty much their 'average' gate)
2,200 (v Southport) now the interest is building !
2,900 (v Cam Utd) ..they're onto something,

Then the play off at home to Grimsby . 8,100 !! Lift off .
I suspect in typical Geordie fashion, The Mackem's & Magpies will be right behind this lot tomorrow. It could 'feel' like a home tie for Gateshead.

Who would you like to win ?
Who do you think will win !

It's just our luck that now we have a really wealthy owner who could buy our way to the EPL, he ain't allowed to spend his money because of FFP

Flipping flip !

He is obviously investing his cash well and worth at least half a billion now
if we owned the stadium 100 percent he could sponsor the stadium and get cash into the club that way like mansour did at city

How much would Kirklees council expect for the ground if they decided to sell to him ?

It's a bit of a sheite hole now, so £15 million should be a fair price!

Fantastic entertainmnet.
Well done Cambridge, the best team won.
And hard luck Gateshead, Non League football ROCKS.
Sat 24th QPR v Derby
Sun 25th Orient v Rothers.
Mon 26th Burton v Fleetwood.

3 days, 3 finals ....What's not to like

Who's doing a World Cup thread ?

we should have a play-offs thread first...then post a World Cup one after they have finished...?

just to keep it 'bubbling'...

I'm just enjoying the fact we've had our first 'relaxing' end of season for 5 years...you can only take so much excitement

I thought I'd half tired to create a Play off thread

Maybe not.
