Can't believe it's actually happening. All Spanish media and British media outlets reporting it so it must be true. Unlucky Arsenal shouldn't have stuck with that cheapskate Wenger/wasted all that money on the German donkey

In all seriousness, if anyone thinks Cesc has this overwhelming love for Arsenal needs their head examining. Bottom line if he felt that way he would not of left. The modern day player plays for the biggest available club who will pay him the most and Cesc is no different. Yes I would love to see him back at the Emirates but under no illusion that his alleged love for the club will guarantee it.

I understand where you're coming from.
Ignoring money for second, do you honestly believe that if Cesc was given a choice of Chelsea or Arsenal, Arsene or Maureen?
What do you think he would choose?
I honestly dont see Cesc joining Chelsea, ofcourse i could be wrong but i doubt it.

Where exactly would Cesc fit into the MF now , with Ozil Ramsey, Cazorla, Podolski, Wilshire, Oxlade Chamberlain and Walcott. Would he occupy the DM berth which we desperately need to fill ?
Much as I would love him back there is no logical reason to buy him other than to deprive any other PL team of his services ? Anyway I understand we had a sell on clause when we sold Cesc. IMO this is all BS from Spanish press to up the bidding for Cesc

I thought the same last season before we signed Ozil.
I think most wil agree that signing Cesc is not a priority, but at the same time a player of his calibre being avaibale for £25M is too good to turn down.
Either wasy, regardless of what we think, if the club decides to buy or not, theres absolutely nothing we can do about it.
I dont even understand why Barca would be willing to sell him, it makes no sense
But if im certain of 1 thing, its that he's not joining Chelsea

I don't see the problem.
At the moment no one has been able to replicate what Cesc did for us. Thats why Rosicky is still at the club. He is closest. Wenger wants to develop Oxlade to eventually do it but he is only 20. So in Cesc's position we have Rosicky (33) and Oxlade (20).
Surly you can see that doesn't work! Cesc (27) is the missing link.

I thought Wenger saw Ox as a deeper, box to box Mf player? But where does that leave Rambo or Jack who are both better in Mf?
I don't think Ox's ball retention or final ball is that good for a Mf role anyway, for me he works better on the wing, given that we have both Jack and Rambo for Mf. 3 players for a single role at the club is too much imo.

Cesc will come home to Arsenal, no doubt in my mind. His DNA is calling him home.
Why would he go to Chelsea? Your club is on the decline, winning no trophies will become a horrible habit and you will no doubt eclipse our 8 year run, no doubt.
Arsenal are on the up and up! Fabregas is coming home

I think he is similar to Rosicky. So I am not sure if he fits the deeper role. I think Oxlade plays high risky passes very much like Rosicky and Cesc in fact, to get out of trouble. Those passes just shouldn't be played in a deeper position. The fatal pass against Chelsea reminded me very much of Cesc against Barca.
But where does that leave Rambo or Jack who are both better in Mf?

Wilshere needs to get back to how he was performing a few years ago for a start. And in those days he was the deeper player with Song. I think Wilshere can be a link player like Xavi, Koke in a few years. The role Arteta is occupying.
Ramsey in my opinion is the Welsh Gerrard. I compared him to Gerrard box to box running when he first joined us. I lost a little belief in him when he was recovering but he seems to have that little bit of acceleration now that gets him away from challenges.
Eventually I see a midfield of Ramsey/Wilshere with Oxlade just ahead of them. But imo thats a long way too go with a lot of developing to do for all three!
